I have been betrayed by my family for their love of the world with only a pinky toe in the Christ word. I was reassured this on X-mass, It is confirmed who they have chosen. Now, I know why it hurts but not for me but for Jesus. At the same time God has given us many lessons of betrayal from Church member, to Work place, to loved ones. We are truly alone with God once our family has betrayed us and now we must take the lesson to ask God for us not to be a betrayer to Jesus. To forgive us of our weakness. In Hebrews 10:19 the blood represents the wine also He skipped verse 20 where it says that the veil represents the bread. Also in these verses we can boldly enter the Most Holy by the blood of Jesus through his flesh. Through His flesh because John 14:6 Jesus says no one comes to the Father but by me; in the sanctuary to move from the holy to the most holy you must go through the veil.

The bible does not state that the Passover and communion service have to be in the church. It is done in the home. I learned this when I was studying with my dear mom, who was learning if Jesus ate the bread at Passover, or did he give it only to the disciples? We found our answer and we learned of that the footwashing (communion service) should be done first and next the passover (Unleavened bread, and Unfermented wine). This was a great blessing. I asked my church to have a different room for woman many years ago, because at the same time everyone was in one room. They listened but have not yet listened to the instruction that Woman, even if married should not wash a mans feet. They still perform communion service with song, children lesson, Sermon, Passover, and finally foot washing. I do nit believe they will change and I wonder if any of these pastor really read the bible. I do not believe they do. I believe they copy a script. I have heard sermons at my church when I attended that are in repeat. I can testify to that. Alot of times it is copied from Doug Bachelor or ministry magazine etc. God’s people are suppose to be a creative people with the mind of Christ not a people that act like robots.

The Passover is the first feast day of the Jewish biblical year. Christ kept the Passover supper the day before the actual Passover (this was allowed according to Jewish law and custom) because He knew that He was going to be the true Passover Lamb the next day at the evening sacrifice.

According to the Andrews University Agenda, the Christmas Extravaganza concert was not performed in Pioneer Memorial Church, but in the Howard Performing Arts Center. Andrews University is under the control of GC, not the Michigan Conference. Pioneer Memorial Church is under the Michigan Conference, but not the University. So you cannot blame the Michigan Conference for this ballet.

This dance is from a traditional Christmas play The Nutcracker Suite. It’s considered a beautiful ballet. Now, I do agree that Andrews or any of our Christian schools could do better. Why not a song by “Angels” that heralds the birth of Jesus? Or something more spiritual? But this dance is meant to depict joy, and yes, the dancers are properly dressed with underwear and tights. Having grown up with the Nutcracker Suite, I never thought of it as more than a pretty ballet. I can certainly pass on watching it, but it is really not a picture of Sodom, just a play we don’t really need in the culture of our Church.

Are those ballet dancers at Andrews University Russian students? That is the standard costume worn by ballet dancers. A Russian classical art form. Everybody in Europe is familiar with ballet. I'm sure they were wearing appropriate undergarments. It is the custom in Europe to have a pantomime show like that on Boxing Day ( 26th December ). But SDAs in the UK never go to such events because EGW condemns the theatre. Don't know what the SDA custom is regarding such activities in other European countries. Eg. SDAs in Scandinavian countries don't see anything wrong with playing soccer on Sabbath afternoons.
