Hey man, great video I must say I can't wait to try that technique on a serious piece. It seems easier to paint this way than to paint with colors from the start. At 2:28, you could use ctrl+h to hide the selection, I always do this because those doted lines really annoy me. Great video, keep it up !

My favorite part of this video is the decision to only use monochrome as a base and work upward. The crevices and cracks looked as though they were using highlights and occluding shades to create depth and you see to have had an idea of where you light source was originating from even before applying it.

Great work, I picked up a few more things here than in the original vid. I've a question though: at around 2:00 you're quickly switching between colours. I don't see any palette on your canvas and you're not using the eyedropper. What's your method?
