I think it’s so awesome of you to engage with young painters and making art cool again! Love your work and I think you are a terrific teacher! Thanks Andrew :)

I've never painted Plein Air and due to back issues, I'd have to sit to do it. So to me, getting to where you've gotten in an hour is pretty impressive! Also, in my view, not every painting has to be an epic masterpiece in order to create joy in the viewer. Smaller, simpler paintings are every bit as wonderful to me.

I like how the orange tones of the underpainting peeked through in the rocky areas in one of your pieces on the ocean.

Very nice. I'm a new painter. I like different techniques, when painting coral reef/rocks, I used drywall compound to give texture. It looked great!

I just joined Tisch Academy really enjoying all the options for learning and love that u do plein air which I am trying to learn...So hard ....I get stressed with the vastness and the light changing so fast at times...BUT great to be out with nature

Do you feel like you have an ability to hold an image in mind for a prolonged time? The transient nature of the white wash seems like it would be challenging.

Okay but my question is how do you keep flies and gnats from landing on it? I did a plein air for my class, im proud of it, but there are so many areas I had to repaint to cover up little bugs that got stuck
