I think that it if the younger viewers who want the challenge and contest shows, not older folks. I still want ITK shows, I still watch them (I record a couple every week) and save the recipes in Pinterest.

I'd rather cook or go to a local restaurant than order a cook making a celebratory chef's recipe. Though I am not sure how it differs from going to celebrity's restaurant when she's not there.....over site? Product sourcing? Seriously, it's someone making a recipe....what really makes a difference is the products they choose to use jmtc

I’d rather cook things myself, this way I know the quality of the ingredients and I’ll get the completed meal fresh and hot. I live in the middle of nowhere and they probably do not deliver to my area. A reason to just make it myself. I guess if I lived in NYC I would probably just have it delivered from the restaurant itself.

I as well have absolutely no interest in the Food Network when they do the competition shows I want the documentaries like you and Tony used to make

The FN does seem to have gone to mostly competition shows. None of them teach how to cook. Miss those type shows. Have also noted that all too often , the recipes seem to feature ingredients that the average home cook would likely not have nor afford. Nobody i know has a massive kitchen or lots of expensive ingredients always on hand. Have seen way too many shows , both on TV as well as KZbin where the cost per person was well beyond what average folks can afford. Would like to see a return to more shows aimed towards what working or retired people can afford.

I might pay for famous chef cloned dishes if they are cheaper than eating at that restaurant. I’m not paying NYC prices in NJ. BTW, lots of companies will ship you their great food, the problem is price. The shipping costs are outrageous.
