I still have that Total Guitar magazine. One of the first thrash riffs I came up with was based on the riffs from Apocalypse Dawn! If I remember correctly, in one of the following issues of Total Guitar someone actually wrote in asking if they could use Apocalypse Dawn for their own song haha! Steve Allsworth is a beast, I think he transcribed Battery for one issue which had the correct ending to the solo (as opposed to the complete mess up in the tab book). Good to see him getting some recognition!

@justbenelson
@justbenelson 4 жыл бұрын
@@AndriyVasylenko I fell for it. Besides the vocalist's vocals sounding a bit gurgly at times the dude definitely had Hetfield delivery. James also uses allegory for a lot of his writing and this song certainly had that too. Two things threw me off about it though: the drums are too quiet and the solo basically recycles itself. Great song nonetheless.

Andriy, I hope that you actually see this comment. I just wanted to say that I haven't seen all of your video's but I do enjoy the one's that I have seen very much. You are an excellent musician and I love your ability to break down music theory concepts into things that people who only can read tab, such as myself, can visualize and understand. I like you have been a huge Metallica fan for most of my life but I have to give you credit for being a more loyal fan than I because I honestly hate St. Anger and I am not a fan of load and reload either. Not to say it is bad music but in my opinion it is just not interesting and sounds to commercial. I do love Death Magnetic and Hardwired but even they at moments have songs that I just do not enjoy. Even the Black album to me is not quite interesting to me. Anyway I just discovered you are from Ukraine and wanted to say God Bless you and stay safe because I know the geo-political situation over there can make life a bit dangerous. I live in Brooklyn ,Ny and have always wanted to get the fuck out of this country and see the world. Hopefully I can see the Ukraine one day and I would love to jam with you and I don't know if you drink but I always wanted to try Ukrainian Vodka.
