I hope nobody forgot about this feature because I'm not seeing anybody demonstrating since the release of Android 13, 2 days ago. I will immediately upgrade to a phone that can run Windows on it if it's capable in Android 13.

Picture this. 20 - 30 years down the road, you get home and wirelessly dock your Galaxy s-- or iPhone - -, to your 8k gaming monitor. Emulating the power of a 3090 and playing games at Ultra settings 8k60, while also using your phone as a phone independently while using windows. Sounds very exciting! Lol

But....isn't that just Gamepass (for most games, for a nominal fee)? by removing the "middle man", be it Remote desktop, or a streaming service, it feels like it almost counterintuitively complicates the matter. The experience: playing a game with max graphics on your phone over wifi, would be NO different between that 20 years from now scenario and what's already available today.
@SlickTV182 жыл бұрын
@@1blackone I disagree, where I live I don't get good enough internet for a good game pass experience, but I see what you're saying. Have you ever tried game pass at the same time as using all your other phone features? Does it work? Or does it cause hiccups and freezes?
@SlickTV182 жыл бұрын
@@1blackone However this comment here does a nice job at highlighting the fact that moving into the future it will more and more irrelevant to be able to run full windows on a phone. With the rise of mini gaming PC's and streaming services, there Will also be many new technologies in the near future that will make huge changes to our everyday lives. So my future scenario may never happen or be necessary, probably just a novelalty.
@1blackone2 жыл бұрын
@@SlickTV18 You have a point, there: while I live in a big city and don't see much input lag, or hiccups, there are use-cases where internet could be compromised and having a home network group would be a better experience. However, as time goes on and internet infrastructure improves, even this could become less and less of a problem.

I am a broken record in the comments. Many of the apps are now web-based. Even when they look like an application. When it hits 95 % or more I bet Microsoft goes with the Windows OS. Maybe they will offer windows or Android as a choice. It's got to happen and believe this has Always been the goal. The alternative goal was taking over Android with windows services which has kind of already happened. Nothing for Google to fear unless Duo 3 already delayed becomes a monster hit.
@shanecraigtech2 жыл бұрын
I've got a video on web apps coming tomorrow. Whether or not that has been some ultimate plan for Microsoft, you might be giving them too much credit there. They've had two fully cancelled OS's meant for Duo/Neo-like devices already, not sure there's a grand plan in place 😂
@penultimatename66772 жыл бұрын
@@shanecraigtech Very likely you are correct. I might add that Microsoft would not suggest any possible OS change to get the people hoping to see it happen on the edge of their seat. It might also be determined better to stay with Android. The Microsoft mantra is to be where the customer is located. Build connections to Linux, Android, etc. Become a lead in open source. Provide tools that work everywhere. What they have never said. Develop other OS even if not Windows. They have contributed to Android. I believe that supports the idea of providing tools everywhere. By making sure they work. One can say Duo phones on Android allows them to work on the phone while leaving the OS development to Google. That's what a company unfamiliar with OS development would say. Once the Duo is built to last then I believe windows can appear. Only when the apps are web based. The only reason for Android. The only reason for Android is because the windows app store would kill a Windows phone. Once it is no longer an issue do you really think Microsoft wants Android?
@ReligionAndMaterialismDebunked Жыл бұрын
Web-based keeps browsers more alive. Apps are good, but require space, often a lot of space. Lol. Plus, not everyone wants a ton of apps ok their phone. It also helps us ethical hackers and web devs more (more, but we have apps to hack, and such).
