I'm very curious if you can run dual monitors with android on the pi5. I'm wanting to set up several screens as smart home displays and at least a couple of them need to be android so I can display post it note widgets, vacuum cleaner controls, shopping list, etc

Thanks for the video. Just tried this but my budget touchscreen monitor is defaulting to 960 x 600 for some reason even though I can see 1920 x 1200 in the settings and this gets coded to the resolutions file on the SDCard. I tried Emteria and RPOs and they both render as 1920 x 1200 without any tweaks. Do you know if there is way to work around this? Cant find a repo to log an issue.

I could not get a controller working for gaming via usb or bluetooth. I got one to connect but it was as if Android did not know it was there. It didn't work in any games. Anyone else have this issue?

This youtube playback showcase was all on software decoding since youtube doesn't use h265 at all. It's easy to decode 1080p30 fps video on software but it's far better on hw. good android should have hw decoding for h264,h265,vp8,vp9 and if, av1. Any tv box is better for real android content consumption (aside games, and for that, get a phone) than the pi4.

You're completely overselling it. Yes, it's great that Android 14 has been ported, but it's by no means perfect. Vulkan isn't supported yet, meaning that the graphical performance is abysmal. Your little game needs little to no power and thus is really not a good indicator for the Pi 5's 3D performance under Android 14. It runs, but only smoothly on 1080p which is the resolution you ran it on like all the other apps. In 3D Mark the lack of proper API support only allows for the Slingshot bench which gives me only 20% of the performance my 4 year old S10 gives me. Run the OS in 4K and FPS are more like
