This works just like removing an app via ADB commands. It only uninstalls it for the current user but it won't remove the actual app from the phone because if you factory reset the phone then the app will come back. As always don't remove important system apps.

It doesn't uninstall the apps actually, it just locks those apps and hide it from the user. The app is there in the phone but can't be accessed unless you unlock them again

I don't think you'll be able to do that with this, since it doesn't require root access and doesn't have additional options even if you are rooted. You can uninstall services with this for ex.

Just asked Android Manufacturer and Ironically They are happy that the secret is out. Because it will lead to many people trying to uninstall playstore.. phone dialer.. etc. Which will eventually kill the phone at same time and they won't be able to restore it.. so they will end up purchasing a new phone.

No you actually cannot. A lot of manufacturers (Yes I'm talking about Xiaomi specifically) won't let you *disable* (yes, these are not uninstalled, just disabled) their system apps and there's pretty much nothing you can do about it (unless of course you are ready to install a new GSI).

There is an ADB command with that uses the package manager to do the same thing. Here is the thing about it, if you reset the device that stuff all comes back. It does also require you to know the package name and here is a hint, it is not the same name that you see on the app when you run it.

when I was a kid I rooted my phone and my first superuser experience was that first of all I uninstalled my system interface without even knowing what this action will affect........ back then it's been called jelly bean.. yeah that was completely stupid , my phone lost everything - from ability to install wallpapers to possibility use usual things as recent apps and even upper settings panel.. so the meaning of this story is that you better check the importance of system applications, because all the processes that make the phone work smoothly could be built on crutches

I think the residue still remains in the phone , i have seen the presence of chrome , youtube and other apps in the apps section even after i uninstalled them. So if you use any phone without gapps , then only we can do away with all this bloatware.

I use adb bridge to uninstall bloatware, and package viewer app to lookup app apckage name. (I know I can view package name using adb, but the app gives search option by actual name of the app, not just packahe name

I have a Pixel 7 Pro and I only have the needed apps and they're all google versions. It's nice as I never needed to uninstall anything as everything I need is literally needed and installed. My system usage is 16GB. Any other Android phone is a minimum of 25GB and it increases to 40 if you go to the latest version on Android. I'm on the latest and it says 16.2GB for system out of 119GB. Google are minimalists.
