The problem I have is that whenever I do home cleaning like clearing data and cache, it would either do absolutely nothing, or it would go down around 7-8%, but the VERY NEXT DAY, it will fill up back to full. The point is, every time that happens it gets harder to free up space and makes it nearly imposible to do it again. I can't send any texts, I can't receive any text messages, I can't take any photos or videos, and my storage gets filled up when I do nothing! Why do I have this problem? This has been going on for YEARS and I have not found a solution. It's very irritating. What's even weirder is that I don't have any games on my phone, and I've never had games. I only have one installed app that I use, which is Instagram. I've recently found out that if I delete Instagram, I still won't have any storage.

i was wondering why my phone said i had used 63,1 gb of 64 and i couldn't figure out where all that data was coming from, but i decided to clear out my recycle bin in my gallery because i'm an editor so it's constantly full of pictures and videos. yeah, that was a wise decision because now my storage claims i've used up 35,2 gb and not 63,1 gb. if anyone has a recycle bin in their gallery and your storage is full, i recommend emptying it.

I'm not a tech person but from what I've discovered in trying to clean up my own storage is that both of those things can and it depends usually on what messaging app one uses and where it stores that info and if it allows one to choose the storage location. Voicemails are also being stored somewhere unless deleted. The Google drive connected to your phone also affects your internal storage. These are the details that aren't usually covered in these tips which are sometimes most important in how storage fills up quickly as well as unused apps or clearing the cache. If you have an android, some things are because of what Google allows or not, like being able to put game apps and some other non essential apps on the sd card. From what I can see Google now has it where some nonessential apps have to reside on the phone which takes up unnecessary space.

I have 32gb vivo y67 phone with 4gb ram, and my only games is just 1gb games like 2 of them are 1gb games but that doesn't matter much for my problem. My phone has 32gb storage and I only got 10gb available but I can't see anything in the file manger that can cause me only 10gb available how do I know what files is not usable and can be deleted. Hi Runald, check with the manufacturer about using external SD cards as internal storage on your phone. It sounds like the apps are being saved on your phone's built in memory instead of the card. You can normally select where the apps are stored under the settings on your phone, but please consult the owner's manual.

Many people run out of the internal memory from app games install. many of those game are in 3.5gb in one game. They rip off us with cheap 32gb smartphone. expandable Micro SD storage is for music , photos and media . All the companies say expandable storage for the apps is to slow on the micro SD storage so tough luck with that!

How is it that I get less than 1 GB for all the Apps and everything else I want on my phone when it claims to have 16 GB storage? The biggest apps I have are about 150 MB each and I only have a few. This is kind of the issue with these "quick" diy's. They some times gloss over information that may be important to know B4 one performs the task they suggest, especially if the person is NOT tech savvy as the people making these videos. There are alot of hidden files/folders using storage or there may be things being duplicated where you can get rid of copies like thumbnails, but are not sure, etc. There are also things that may be deleted that should not be deleted if you just use a automated tool to sweep everything. These things are not discussed on quickie tips and could be a problem.

It's a way to control the amount a information you are able to keep. Everything the controllers Don't want you to see that gets deleted the moment it's discovered. Like free Fuel or electricity or things That don't just treat you but cure you. They don't want you to have enough storage to store things like that. If you have too much storage in your phone or on your device who knows what you could end up keeping that they don't want you to have. This is a control of information.

Hey there for the most part the Android OS has a significant memory footprint plus the phone manufacturer and the phone carrier may also add some of their apps to the mix. Since that space is reserved exclusively for the OS you may have to reach out to your phone carrier or manufacturer to see what else you can reduce to maximize your storage capacity.

For temporary but effective solution, you can also clean caches of certain apps that has lots of data (On me Instagram had approximately 500 MB, in short almost all social media apps.) if these apps caches didn't cleared after long time. Social media apps' caches sometimes reach 500 MB's alone. With this alone I gained 2-2.5GB space back. But these caches will regenerate after period of time has been passed. These can be cleaned again of course 🙂.

KZbin uses all my space. Even though the phone says 200 MB usage between app, cache, and data it was a lie. When I looked at the sizes of the apps on Google Play Store it gave 1.3 GB used for KZbin. The files are not accessible. KZbin regular files under the Android folder are only 65 MB. So the app was reinstalled at 124 MB but it's up to 300 MB already after 1 day....lol. My space went from 700 MB to 1.85 GB after reinstallation. So check the real size of your apps through the Google Play Store.
