Only 4GB data seems possible to save in Fat32 on even 32GB usb drive. I wanted this to run Tivimate - it installs but closes immediately.

this is a limitation for the fat32 file system. I'm testing the 64 gb zip on a 128gb stick rn with ntfs formatting since fat32 has the limit you mentioned.

1. No, the archive doesn’t do anything there, it’s just for making the extraction much easier but you can delete it afterwards. 2. No, you can’t start it from windows. It’s not an app, it’s an entire new operating system. It’s not using windows, you have to use windows only for installation, then you can start Android TV even on a laptop with no other OS installed. Old PC BIOS does not support UEFI - had to load image and format Pen drive with MBR. Then - the 16GB image file gave errors when extracting - although the files shows on the drive. End result is that the Nexus Live 9 screen comes up - and reboots when selected. IOW, it did not work ...

You may not have your usb formatted correctly or it may already have files on it. You may want to check your usb drive or try another one. I haven't tried this yet but I have had issues with usb drive before similar to this. I hope this helps

whats the compatibility regarding hardware? few years back i tried one of those android thingies on an athlon 200ge htpc and an nvme on a pcie adapter and got nowhere. will give it a go this time around, but now i have 5650ge. will try usb stick but i wish i could use an internal sata ssd. i want to have option to boot my htpc into android tv and have my 90tb kodi library accessible locally, so to speak. 32 gigs is too small for all the metadata and artwork afaik. fingers crossed.

I think you could however you would need to recompress the iso and insert the data file I tried the files from Android x86 archive and it works but it has some hiccups like I can't login with Google account

Application do not support rooted device. The another issue is the size some how if Dynamic memory allocation is possible then it can perform better with the remaining apps.

Like any version of Linux or Android. Some it will work perfctly , some will have stuff that doesn't work. Try it fro a USB first. Then you don't risk anything. Half the Linux distro's I try don't work with my wifi card. I have had many versions of android that won't work with my touchscreen.

you can use your tv as a monitor for the laptop you plug the usb flash drive in. If that's the question - then yes, you can. If your question is can you plug the usb flash drive in the tv and expect it to work - then no, you can't. If you have a non-smart tv, you can purchase an androindTV stick or box such as mi tv stick. It works extremely well for making a "stupid" tv smart.

I've tried this method multiple times, tried other images and even different flash drive but am not able to run it on any of my PC. When booted from the USB drive, the boot selection screen appears and when I click enter then nothing happens just a blank screen.
