I am using my Galaxy S8+ to create a PowerDirector video. Unfortunately when you start talking about how to remove segments, or even how to trim the beginning and/or end, you simply tap on the blue line and then you get a green circle node. Any thoughts why I dont get the green circle node you mention. Do I possibly have an old version? Or maybe a basic version without all the bells and whistles? I only see the cut icon when I click the edit pencil icon and a whole series of options appears at the bottom. Frustrating to see you tapping the video and getting the green circle node - but I don't. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi Mark, sorry for the delayed reply. There is only one version, if not paid it just removes a few features and leaves a watermark, but other than that you should have full functionality of split and trim. Things to check: 1. As you said, see if you have the latest version. Perhaps an older version has a glitch? 2. Make sure you are selecting the clip correctly. If you are zoomed out too far it can be hard to accurately hit the exact clip you wish to work on. Pinch on a clear section on the screen to zoom in closer. Then try again. The clip should highlight in a turquoise colour. Hope this helps, and not too late either

Helo friends I just capture movie through power director 18 capture size are fine quality with following spec: 720 X 480 with 29 FPS but when i edit those such movie and cut useless scenes then when i produce with trying all output setting but i got this resolution 720 X 576 with 25 FPS i noted movie size are nearly 2 inch less horizontal or vertically pls advice that what i do for get same size of movie who are in my raw capture resolution who are good..i dont know why size are nearly 2 inches reduce (horizontal or vertical) I dont know whats wrong with me plssssss help

@@Travelvids there is no Gallery option showing. Just screenshots, Facebook downloads, GIF captures and camera. Also Google Drive. Screenshots are dividing into 2 folders for some reason.

How do I delete parts of a video not trim

SO trimming refers to taking off the back and front of a clip. I'm assuming you asking how to cut something out the middle of a clip. There are 2 ways to do this. 1. Use The cut Tool. Highlight the clip you want to delete a part out of. Select the cut tool to make a cut at the start and at the end of the section you want to remove. Select the new piece and delete it. OR 2. Duplicate and Trim. Duplicate the clip you want to remove a part from. Trim the first copy to only the one part you want. Then Trim the second clip to the second part you want. We will be doing more tutorials on Powerdirector in the future... I will let you know when we have made a video on your question. Thanks for asking.

When I tap and hold on a clip it doesn't turn orange and I can't move it. Any ideas?

My first guess would be that you are not hitting the clip in isolation. (meaning you might be touching another clip in the process) Solution: Zoom in by pinching on the screen in a blank area (ie below the timeline) Second guess is that you haven't selected the clip first. Tap on the clip once. Then only hold down on it the second tap. Please let me know if you come right, or not and i can try find some other options to help you!!!

Not any more. Now it's a subscription: $35/year. Still now bad. My Adobe CC cost me about $55/month. Great software but they dropped support of any OS older that Windows 10 and for my Quatro K2000M graphics card. I'm dropping my Adobe CC subscription when my year is up. Maybe I'll go with PowerDirector on my Windows 7 machine.
