Personally, I would say go with the note 3 because it has 3 gb of ram and it's a pretty interesting experience mainly because of it's big screen and watching videos.

This phone broke my heart like literally shattered it , this was supposed to be it the phone to nail samsung in as the best android phone manufacturer. All we wanted was a full metal body on the phone , i would've traded in the finger print scanner and heart rate monitor in a flash if it meant the phone would be a sleek and as well built as the htc one or i phone . I guess HTC is the only company i can bet my money on this year big let down Samsung.

I love my Note 3 but for people who don't really use the Magic S-Pen, the S5 is pretty kool. The look ain't what I expected but it really doesn't matter... We all put cases on our phones and Tablets. Im either using Otter box or Seidio Surface Case.

Sprint Spark available on the S5 and not on the Note 3. Good or bad? I heard that with Spark you can't talk on the phone and surf the web. Perhaps that's why they didn't make the Note 3 a Spark phone, as some business customers would need to talk and surf/text. Fill me in please. Thanks!

Well i'm definately going for the Note 3 (coming from iphone 5). It looks much nicer and the pen will be useful. I wonder if some of the new s5 camera features will appear on Note 3 or are they specific to the s5 (like the lyto-type focusing)?

Hi I was wondering if any other note 3 users can help me with a problem. At night I leave my phone on but disable everything (wifi, gps etc) but it still drains my battery quite significantly. Last night my phone was at around 74% whereas this morning it's down to 38% I don't like having to charge my phone through the night since I heard it's bad for the battery but I can't have it draining my battery when I need to use it in the day. I don't like turning my phone off at night in case of emergencies. Does anyone know why it's draining my battery through the night? And does anyone know how to solve it?

Reduce the Brightness and restart your phone so there's less RAM taken Plus you can turn of all connections (wifi,nfc....) and let sound and power saving mode On if u want to

I would take a look at what apps are consuming your battery. If you go to Settings > General > Battery, it will list in order what is consuming your battery so much. On average i see a 5-10% battery loss overnight with everything set to max. However I did download Sim's 3 and it drained my entire battery in 6 hours when i usually get around 24. Hope that helps.

Also, check google location services and turn this off if you have to. This was an issue for me in the past on my galaxy s4. I don't know if there has been an update to fix this though.

There's a widget called "Active apps" Apps > Widgets >(should be here somewhere). Get it and move it to the home screen. It let's you see your active apps and allows you to clear you memory and other awesome stuff.

Im picking the S5 simply because of size. 5 inches is perfect and after my GS3 with white glossy plastic and the more curvy desing the GS5 is a nice change. Note 3 is probably the better (because its probalby the best phone period :D) but the size is not for me.

I like the water resistance, camera and gear fit. But I have a Note 3 and it looks like the Note series is now the flagship and the same series is a minimal update. I will get the gear fit though.

my advice is choose the one that will better help you get your daily tasks done, be it s4, note3, or s5, MIND ITS SIZE!!! size IS important, only that sometimes the littler the better!! those three devices are Very good ones.

I was gonna get the Note 3, too. But, since I want the phone with the better camera, I'm going to go ahead and wait for the GS5. Since I could be stuck with my next phone for a year or two, I think it's really important for me to buy the one I want the most (no matter how long the wait). Just get the one that best fits you long term.

I own a Note 2 and still loving it. My Note 2 has been the best phone I've ever owned. I do like the look,features & specs of the S5 but after owning a Note 2, I will be waiting for the Note 4 to arrive this September before I buy my next smart phone. The Note 2 was the best smart phone on the market by a country mile until the Note 3 came out last year. I think the Note 4 will blow you and every other smart phone away.

I would say get the note 3 because like he said the note 3 has more ram which means it can run more apps at once and overall makes it a faster processing phone. I've had my note 3 for about 6 months and I love it. It's big but not too big like the mega. Yeah the s5 is waterproof but who cares. If your artistic you would love the note 3 and it's pen so you can draw some pretty cool things. The pens also good for snapchat :) in my opinion you should get the beast of a phone note 3. Don't get me started on the video display and the screen for watching movies bigger is better. Note 3 > S5

Everyone has a preference. .. Some people (like me) like the bigger phone. The note 3 is comfortable in hand and 2560×1900 makes it look AMAZING. With the S5 Samsung said that they were taking it back to basics of the phone. No huge over haul here just a few tweaks here and there. I say not bad

Can someone explain to me why the Note 3 seems a little faster than the Samsung S5 even though the S5 is supposedly supposed to be as fast and in some cases faster? I turned off Power Saving Mode for both and tested how fast apps loaded eg. Facebook KZbin Instagram Tumblr Pinterest Gallery Camera etc. And the Note 3 would load a second faster. I'm just confused and would like some explanation as to why the S5 isn't faster??? Thanks!!!

For all those who are in dilemma. Note 3: for the following reasons 1. Bigger and gorgeous display makes watching movies,surfing lot more easier. Though s5 has 432 ppi it doesn't makes sense as human eyes were limited to see not more than 300 ppi 2. It comes s-pen software 3.1 giga bytes more ram makes multitasking smoother as touchwiz is heavy it needs more ram indeed. Galaxy s5: 1. A bit updated processor when compared to note 3 as it has qualcomm snapdragon 801 processor. 2. Water resistance, touch id, dust resistance. According to me: Go with note 3. It looks way better with faux leather and get away from band-aid designed s5 unless you need a phone with touch id,heart beat sensor, and water resistant coating.

Arvind Sharma S5 display is better as its a newer display. Battery life is better and speed is same like Note 3.
