I can barely tell apart the new AS icon from the slack icon on MacOS, so quick switching between windows is a pain now, sad to say.

can't see gradle file watcher and cache in gradle properties settings in here, github.com/google/santa-tracker-android, do you I need to check out speicif branch? thanks

If you decided to discard Studio build capabilities and rely on the gradle, then it is ok. As for now I am getting java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.google.wireless.android.sdk.stats.IntellijIndexingStats$Index . Can you fix that?

I believe it's up to the annotation processor developer to provide an incremental annotation processor. You should let the developer know by opening an issue about it, if there isn't one already. In the meantime, your options are to either drop the annotation processor if you can live without it, or continue using it, keeping in mind that it negatively affects your build.
