Loved it....This short film captured that! Could have gone further, but job well done! My take on this film,,,, "What, Who is "Andromeda"? Well...answer.... Greek mythology; "Cepheus and Cassiopea are told that the only way to satisfy Poseidon is by sacrificing their daughter to a sea monster. Andromeda herself represents innocence; she does nothing that would justify an awful fate. Perseus, then, acts as a force of justice, rescuing Andromeda from her unfair fate. Just sayin folks ..... I'm old and not sure I'll see a Fall sunrise (July 2024) but this movie hit a cord! Thank you for that! A lot more to say but tired of spell checking my self! 😛 None the less "Andromeda" is an enigma! ....... avb!

This one is less about Laser-swords , Ray Guns and outer-space dog-fighting than it is about developing what is _actually_ a fairly decent blend of _classic_ Sci-Fi concepts into one well-worth-it exploration . This one was _about_ exploration , no matter the driving premise , and introduced the element of situational crisis pretty well , without over-burdening the central theme . Excellent movie. Normally I dont like movies with allot of dialogue. I find it tends to dull the impact of what is supposed to be a visual medium. That being said. This movie did a fantastic job of blending character development and moving the story forward. Keeping the viewer glued to every word. Very well done. 👍👍

Gentleman_Jester....you said..."Normally I dont like movies with allot of dialogue." For me, I actually like a lot of dialogue, but within certain bounds. For instance, I am 72 years old and I enjoy the older black & white movies because they have good stories and good dialogue. As a contrast, I have watched movies from perhaps the 80's onward, where the story is almost non-existent, the dialogue is very sparse, and it's almost all special effects and CGI. The actors/actresses are just window dressing for everything else. And that is very boring and empty to me. But I have also watched 'modern' movies where the dialogue is non-stop chatter where they are constantly interrupting each other and all talking at the same time. Now this is so-called dialogue that I think is stupid and nonsense. So....I have to ask you: What is your age?

Good concept . well written , and well done on a MICRO budget ! MUCH better than most "Indies" ! I'd love to see something further done with this . The premise while contemporary and popular , _stretches a little_ , but it actually gives a good basis for a story of this type and serves well as a basis for moving the plot along . Even the 2 "Agents" were actually pretty well done ! Of course the CGI was necessary , but TBH it was allot smoother than most , and absolutely FITS the story . Well done ! It was NICE to see something besides laser swords , ray-guns and outer-space dogfights calling itself "Sci-Fi" !

Sorry, this movie is slower than "2001: A Space Odyssey", except that movie held my interest throughout. That may be unfair to say, because I read the novel first, so I had at least a heads-up on what was next. This movie is halfway through, and it's still "sluggish" for lack of a better term. Better try again.

@stevenward3856....Ah, yes, One of the all-time great sci-fi Classic movies: 2001: A Space Odyssey. But I think that you may be telling your age...lol....because I am 72 and I also read the novel back in about 1968 and then saw the movie and understood what was happening. I remember watching the movie and the couple behind me were talking in a low voice that they were confused. I turned around and quietly explained to them what was happening. I saw '2002...." at least 7 more times in a rather short amount of time before I said..." Okay, that's enough..!! " But I have watched a lot of KZbin channels where I have read a lot of different perspectives and possible explanations for the things that happened in the movie that I had not thought about. So, even today, that incredible movie is still generating thoughtful conversations.

Anti-gravity for what purpose ? Interplanetary propulsion ? Remember gravity works as a vector normal to the center of the local mass . Yes , you can choose a travel line say from the center of the local planet to sort of reverse-slingshot you in the direction of your target , but mid-course corrections would be a bit of a challenge . Yeah , they'd be useful for getting off-world 👍but then you'd likely still want thrusters for movement off-world . Lots of promise , but not _nearly_ as cenematopgraphically "interesting" to a Movie Director or their audience . I wouldn't mind seeing it worked into a story line , tho . That _might_ be an interesting touch 👍.

@@djoswald9128 We can spend our lifetime constantly ‘exploring’ about forgiving ourselves, or we can accept the fact that God has already forgiven us. God swore by Himself that He remembers our ‘sin’ no more. Considering we worship the Lord it’s a good bit of information that He said He doesn’t remember our sin anymore, and that’s well enough for all of His children to receive and accept. Jesus already paid a great price for us in order to forgive us, as a matter of fact many prices He paid for so great that many people overlook, we know the Lord had never experienced death Himself before, and you know the story about doubting Thomas, Jesus told Thomas to put his fingers and hands in Jesus’ side where the ‘spear’ wound was, and to touch the holes in Jesus’ hands, because Thomas had doubts about Jesus’ resurrection. Well, when the ‘rapture’ happens, for all eternity we’ll have ‘glorified’ bodies like Christ, without blemish, no more death, no more dying. Bodies that never get sick, no injuries, no deformities, never grow old. Jesus, however, He Himself, has to bear His wounds for all eternity, forever, His injury marks will be there with Him forever. Whenever Satan and his demoniacs try to influence your mind about anything that’s not ‘good’ then that’s a indication right there for you, in general, know it isn’t from God, Children of God through Jesus instead say what God said in Jesus’ name; that you’re/we’re God’s ‘MASTERPIECE’(Ephesians 2:10). And God said nothing can separate His love from His Children, not even ourselves nor angels(Romans 8:31-39). God wants people, He wants people to come to Him and cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us. In those moments when we ‘feel’ like the walls of doubt and rage are taking control of us, and we might fail time and time again, and it seems like God doesn’t care, ‘even then’ The love of the Lord for us and over us will never change. He swore to that. Walk by faith and not by sight(2 Corinthians 5:7).

@@djoswald9128 The Lord has already forgiven you/us through Christ Jesus. Even when we have challenges forgiving ourselves. It’s His forgiveness that is most important to us. It’s not a bother to God about us, His children in Christ Jesus. In fact, it’s a matter of God’ desire to hear from us, to acknowledge Him in our lives always all the time. As a child of God you were ‘made’ ‘Righteous’, have right standing with God through Jesus Christ. You are Gods ‘MASTERPIECE!’(Ephesians 2:10). All those who are ‘born again’ are God’ masterpiece’s. God through life saying what God says about you, children of God should talk God talk, speak God speak, say what God says about themselves. God says we have the victory, more than conquerers, blessed going in and blessed going out. Head and not the tail, kings etc etc etc. Say what God says about you more than talking about situations. Gosh, Andromeda is as far away in time as it is in space....even with their "neural inhibitor"....and then they tell the kid, " everyone on Earth will die in agony" unless he does what they want him to, simply hop into this machine that wil beam him millions of light years.. Yikes!

Actually , its a pretty classic application of both Quantum-Entanglement AND Conscious effect on remote entanglement . Quantum Theory has been around since EARLY in the _last_ century , and this has been explored in similar short-stories and movies many times . Remember "Avatar" ? Same _general_ ideas , just developed on a *much* BIGGER budget . This one is less about Laser-swords , Ray Guns and outer-space dog-fighting than it is about developing what is _actually_ a fairly decent blend of _classic_ Sci-Fi concepts into one well-worth-it exploration . This one was _about_ exploration , no matter the driving premise , and introduced the element of situational crisis pretty well later in the story - as its _unfolds_ , without over-burdening the central theme . The players even _seemed_ "Bought - _in_ " to their roles well enough to SELL their parts in the story ! NOT _bad_ for an Indie on a *micro-budget* 👍!

Very good sci-fiction/ futuristic movie- “Andromeda “ in the story of NASA mission to NB-22 planet as a mysterious alien planet located in Andromeda Galaxy- Relationship between the son and the father who was a brilliant scientist working for NASA secret space program to reach on NB-22 planet in Andromeda Galaxy at faster speed than 186,000 light years per second via the “ wormhole” as known as the black hole ( Past>>>Future == Future>>>Past) as it’s General Theory of Relativity by Albert Einstein in a fact.- Very interesting to me.

I watched alot of the beginning and didn't understand what it was about. They didn't introduce the Characters. I got tired of it and left.
@chuckintexas
@chuckintexas 2 ай бұрын
The used stock stereotypes so they wouldn't have to do any character development . Everyone KNOWS what an "MIB" -style "Agent" looks and acts like , what a psychologist is and does and what a nameless, faceless "Director" (boss . supervisor , commander ... ) does , so these characters don't NEED any real depth iun their "development" . All they _need_ to do is "their part" . They _even_ did the whole back-story "Psychologist" stereotype pretty well , not overplaying it , yet using it as a vehicle to introduce and develop the need to "find and rescue father" another classic theme used to move a plot along . ALL are _typical_ ( "classic" ) plot devices , used to good effect here . Watch this as if you're reading a Sci-Fi "Short Story" and you'll have the idea . This was ACTUALLY pretty well done for an Indie on a micro-budget .

A common mistake of Indie-Film makers 👍 , so I get it . Its IMPORTANT to at _least_ introduce your characters so the viewer can at LEAST know who is involved with the story , but if the Film Maker can _also_ get you to LIKE the characters , that film maker can get stronger buy-in to the premise and the dilemma , requiring less effort as we suspend disbelief and buy into the whole premise of the story . THEN we go along for the ride . Failing to do this , for you (and ALSO _AMOST_ for me ) , I can see why you bailed . After _all_ - there's a REASON the _best_ Indies STUDYY Filmmaking and its STRUCTURE . The formula WORKS and your response is a good example of why . still , your bailing _MAYBE_ unfortunate , as it DOES turn out to be a better than average Indie effort . That _said_ - I GET it . I really DO . _I_ *ALMOST* bailed , myself , but I _decided_ to stay and I DID end up enjoying the presentation . That said , there's no need to insult , _they_ made a MOVIE and _posted_ it on-LINE ! Just a couple of thoughts . ALL the _best_ 👍! - C ,

The very interesting comments!!! There actually are a few people out there with brains. I live in Hawaii, and have met very few people with high IQ's!!! I really miss my old high school friend who went into nuclear physics. We had such great discussions about the nature of the universe and quantum theory. I used to pimp him with unanswerable questions! God, I miss him!!! Db Anyway, death waits for no man!!! By the way, great movie!!! KUDUS!!! Db

So...after he finds his dad, and messages home to tell them "send everybody over", he and his dad get *vaporized* by that flying machine...so....is that the tragedy ending? Why didn't anyone else comment about the ending? Obviously, now we're going to send half of Earth over there to "save" us, and they'll just die on arrival from machine-vaporizations! Good twist and ending. AMiRiTE!

Gotta be honest, CGI and sound seemed B grade. Unique concept, though I feel it was not fully developed. Virtual headset allows travel to another planet in another galaxy but your body stays on earth? Seems like The Matrix with no explanation how the body survives.
