Judging this movie solely based on the trailer, the cinematography looks amateur, locations look poorly picked and cheap, story line seems to be the same rehashed crap from Battle Royal and the Running Man, sound design comes off very bush league, and from the terrible editing and pacing of the trailer, one could only assume the film won't differ much in that regard, either. But please, continue preaching from your broad cinematic high moral ground.

The trailer makes the film look like your average sci-fi channel movie (not good but possibly watchable) when in reality it's your average Asylum level film. In fact Asylum films look like The Godfather compared to this.

this movie seems really similar to mathew reillys book the tournament, it's either this is based on the book or it lifted concepts from his action writing. but if this is a movie adaption to the book it's more likely that the hunger games, the maze runner took concepts from mathew reilly's book and used them as their own opposed to the other way around.

DenOfWhasps The Hunger Games was done perfectly, if we're talking about visuals. Awesome actors, and was thrilling. The Maze Runner, B class actors, not very good effects, and was filmed in a way that gave off a childish vibe. I'm kinda sick of reboots. Let's see some good sequels. (Although an adult Power Ranger reboot, would be pretty fucking cool. Like what Adi Shankar did)

A guy alledgedly dies (or so we think because slaves linked to him die) and at the end he comes back to life. There's no explanation for many things. I need a book or a second part.
