And really thank you for this great analysis that you had! I really liked "Possession" mistly because of its psychoanalytical concepts and different using of camera. On the other hand, "On The Silver Globe" had many symbols in its contents.

Love hearing from another Zulawski fan. Totally agree he’s up there with the greats.

12:02 Chopin = "show-pan" I've never heard of this filmmaker nor his films, so I appreciate this video. Thank you for uploading.

Always happy to see more people appreciate the crazy Pole, for me his best is The Third Part of the Night without question.

Damn, that sucks. I have only seen 3 Zulawski films and they are your #1 thru #3. That means it's all downhill from here. Possession is a masterpiece and recently I received my copy of the Eureka set and have watched The Devil and On the Silver Globe, and loved both of them. Gonna watch Third Part of the Night tonight. Can't wait. I really wish Mondo Vision would upgrade those others to blu-ray at some point or maybe some one else will. I have them in my cart on Amazon but I know the second I order them, there will be a blu-ray announcement.

It's the matter of taste. He rated "Cosmos" and "Boris Godounov" as his least favourite but they're really among my favourite with the first one being a quirky dark comedy and the latter as an opera but also a social commentary on the history of Russia. There wasn't a single Żuławski film I didn't like except for "Fidelity" which felt too dragged out and not that interesting but both his early and late work has a lot of strong ones like "The Blue Note", "L'amour braque" (I'm not fluent enough in French to understand even 50% of the dialogues but that's a part of its charm) and "Boris".
