Andy is 💯 correct. We called them casters or caster cups and they were to prevent the little wheels on the end of the furniture legs from scratching lino or marking carpet. I cant believe you haven't come across them Matt 😁

Can tell that they're not on holiday now - Matt back to his bullying ways again! Andy you are sooo right, they're for the bottom of chair legs. (And I'm not from Dorset, or having a cream tea or doing the other despicable things you said Matt.)

The ARP (Air Raid Precautions) whistle belonged to an air raid warden from WWII. It's sad to see a man's life contained in an abandoned home. The birthday cards still hung up was so sad to see. Thanks for all your videos.

I'm sorry Matt! Andy is right on this one about the umbrella stand. I used to clean for an elderly lady in an old house, and she had that coat/hat/umbrella stand. The square tray inset in the bottom is for the umbrellas and can drip off. Those circle pieces ARE for sofa legs! Andy 1, Matt 0 lol

The coat stand has a drip tray. The little round things are for the carpet for chair legs. It’s got nothing to do with the coat stand. Many times the drip trays are missing so it’s nice to see it’s still complete. I find Matt a sore loser and am I the only one who thinks he’d drive me round the bend? Love Andy and he’s so right ❤❤❤

There is a fine line between banter and bullying … and banter tends to be a two way thing. This is very one sided and it’s getting so uncomfortable to watch, it’s not funny watching someone being shouted at, snapped at and belittled. You two can be so funny together but other times it’s just too uncomfortable. I’m surprised Andy is still there, you don’t see this behaviour in any other exploring duo. Banter yes but you go too far Matt.
@kathleencook4674 Жыл бұрын
If you feel too uncomfortable watching then I suggest you stop, it is just banter and I've heard And give as good as he gets on more than one occasion, Matt knows how far to go and if he oversteps the mark the he will know about it so sit back and enjoy or like I said stop watching

In the lower umbrella copper drip trays are round coasters used to protect carpet from furniture wheels, particularly for the old style lounge chairs that have wheels. Pianos use heavier and larger coasters. They are to protect the carpet...

Matt and Andy, in the last bedroom, you were looking at an article about the baths. The article was about a man called Maurice Walton, and the name on the strange “dog tag” was Walton. The name on the baptism certificate was also Maurice Walton. I’m guessing that they are all the same man, and I might be wrong but it probably was the dude who turned 90. Matt, Andy was right, it was an ice bucket. Those round things were not umbrella drip trays, they were furniture coasters. And I believe Vick was renamed Vicks in around about the 1960s or something. Cheers from Denise from Broken Hill, Australia

It's an ode to 16th and 17th century architecture That would help support roof timbers and then were decorated with a finial to finish them off. One can see them at the outside corners of garrison houses in New England and on staircases in England and America.

Matt. Whether or not you think it's banter, you go too far sometimes. You are an outright bully to Andy. I'm surprised he has put up with this for so long. Just because you are loud does not make you right. Andy is so right about the little cups being carpet protectors from the legs of furniture. You made such an embarrassing deal out of trying to tell him he was wrong when it's you who is wrong. Seriously mate, you are going too far. Especially coming away with the remark 'that there's not much left of it' when Andy said he would bet his life on it. I really like this channel and the content and was happy to support but I'm tired of this blatant abuse under the guise of humour. You're being so unkind. Andy is a good friend to you (and vise versa at times) but you could lose him. Watch out.
