The work needs to be done locally as you just said you’re watching national politicians and this needs to happen at the ground up. Locally - built the foundation with dem’s so it’s a solid foundation.. that’s what happened in texas - gop has a great strong ground game

I think we need to change Electoral College to give 'All Electoral" votes to the popular vote winner in that state. Also Ranked Choice voting in Primaries and General Elections along with have all Representative Districts set up by Independent Commissions. If we could accomplish that along with getting corporate money out of elections and implement 'Fairness Doctrines' for all news and media outlets on Broadcast/Cable TV along with internet and social media websites.

If the electoral college was overturned the American people might have a chance to get a decent president since the republicans would never be able to elect a president again. I have no idea how that could happen though bc of our corporate Supreme Court.
