Seems really sweet, and quite dry and funny. Particularly interesting what he said about kossoff in part one , and the faces !! Ha ha ! Oh, and apart from everything else , he wrote 50 per cent of one of the very greatest rock n roll songs of all time. Not too shabby. And him and simon kirke were such a unique and funky rhythm section. Free were such a magic combination

Legend. Always worshipped his stuff, especially Moonshine Live and Mr Big. I'm trying to learn bass but I'm older than he is. Probly should climb straight into my grave.

It’s never too late man! I had a 12 year break from guitar and now I’m suddenly finally learning stuff I never thought I would. When you want something bad enough you’ll learn. Plus nowadays there are tons of amazing KZbin videos to help you out. Moonshine and Mr Big were incredible live, Koss‘ guitar and Andy’s bass would form an absolutely molten gold sound when they combined. And those were two that Koss contributed to the writing too. Koss wrote Moonshine and asked Rodgers to add lyrics and Andy and Koss wrote Mr Big’s music together. It was a band effort, I think Simon contributed also. Andy was an absolute genius songwriter and bassist. Great singer too. It’s so sad how Koss doubted himself, he was in my opinion still to this day the most emotionally driven guitar player to ever have lived. Nobody has ever played like Koss before or since, and when he did write songs he wrote absolute gems. I have no idea why the song Molten Gold didn’t make the Free At Last album, it was one of the most beautiful songs Free ever did together and an absolute Kossoff masterpiece. But glad it turned up on his solo record. RIP Koss and Andy, love them both to death.

Is there an interview anywhere where Andy is interviewed about his bass playing, and influences without talking to an idiot? Very nder rated player.

My mate used love the way Andy used to fold back his shirt-sleeves when he went on stage - he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen.

Oh dear. It was a terrible event. I would rather not go into details here. Yes he was an amazing bass player and Free were my mate`s favourite band. Mine too. Of course we all make mistakes. I have been an evil twat in my life too. And Fraser comes across as a great guy which I` m sure he was. But trust me. What this guy said to my mate was the lowest thing I ever heard. And I don`t want to stir up old wounds. But my friend never forgot it. All of Free were in a service station one night and my friend made the mistake of rushing up to them in a state of excitement as fans so often do. But it was Fraser that really excelled himself in ignorance and cruelty on that occasion. And it was a very noticeable part of the story that all the other members of the band were there and not one of them called Fraser up about what he did. That means it was on their watch too. According to my friend they all saw what Fraser did. And they all heard what he said. So ? A tragic vibe all round. That never put my mate off their music. If there`s a lesson in this maybe it`s that often the best artists are expected to set higher standards of behaviour than other professions. Which of course causes disappointment when expectations are unreasonably high. As they often are for the fans. To me my friend was the most innocent Eager Lamb that ever went to gigs to do what long haired concert goers do. I was gutted for him. And it took me years to process the really ugly stuff that Fraser said to him that night. I would rather not repeat it. But hey. We all do bad shit sometimes. And Fraser was the greatest musician. Water under the bridge by now. But a lesson in life as well. Water Under The Bridge. It`s Alright Now. God Bless Free and Fraser too. @@jamestcallahanphotographer

Andy comes across as a sincere guy. Although he's interrupted quite often, he listens and let's the conversation flow and takes an interest in what the guy is saying. Many people in the spotlight would get impatient, but he doesn't seem to. Chill dude.
