He used to gather the ball and catch it all the time, not just palm it out. Especially impressive given the six yard box was essentially a slip and slide composed almost entirely of mud, with a wee bit of grass thrown in for good measure. That save in the 3 - 3 match was, and still is, the best I ever did see. McGregor is a great keeper, but people forget in the 90s Rangers would rarely dominate celtic, they'd play to catch them on the break; meaning Goram would be stupidly busy more often than not.

Exactly what I told my children face your fears and you’ll never be afraid, I faced mine and can honestly say that it toughens you up to face the world, my family all were goalkeepers and were good enough to play for professional and I can say Andy is up there amongst the top keepers in the world

Watching this video nearly 2 years on and sadly we've just lost "The Goalie"... what's really impressive about this isn't actually the amount of spectacular saves (we all know he was capable of them) its the amount of times he makes tricky saves look easy by getting his full body behind the ball and actually managing to hold onto the ball where an average keeper would parry.
