That show was only good when Barney was on it too. It was one of those situations where you can't have one without the other. It took them both to make the show fun. I am a fan of Andy Griffith's too, but, in my opinion, that show just didn't work when Don Knotts left!

I think I've watched Andy since I was born in 71. I raised 2 kids that watched in the 90s. Andy is a classic. Genuinely funny show.

@@johngalt8279 yes and no. It was the 1960’s. However, just think of all the crazy twists and turns the show could have had with his in-laws, if he had married Charlene. That is what I was basing me comment on. Either way, it was a great show.
