This song is so deep. I went to Winter Jam 2017 in Memphis last night, and until then I had never fully understood the message. He wrote the song for his sister, Grace, who had been deaf her whole life. listening to in live, the words sunk in, and it had a deeper meaning. He had a blind eye to his sister and didn't understand how much of miracle it was to be able to hear. We do the same thing but with God. If we open our eyes to him and get rid of our "Blind Eye" then we will also have a miracle. We will no longer suffer. I'm not a saint, and yes I'm a sinner. But if I can turn my life around from the drinking and smoking, the cussing and fighting, the adultery, the idolatry, then you too can do it. All we have to do is open our eyes and pour out our heart. Our God will listen to what we have to say, and he will forgive us.

i finally understood it at rock the desert 2017 when he was talking about it. his sister was deaf, but he never took the time to learn sign language. then one time when he was 25 his sister Grace was with her friends, but since she was death they all used sign language to communicate. One of her friends tried to talk to him in sign language. He didn't understand them so he said to them 'i can't do sign language' and they looked at him in disbelief and shock that his own sister was deaf and he couldn't communicate properly with her. and it was at this moment that he realized how rude it was to not know sign language and invest the time for himself instead of for his sister who he could of been able to communicate with if he had cared for her enough. he also realized that his sister had been in that same situation every time he had been talking with his friends around her. so he finally took the time to learn it and also made this song kind of like an apology song.

The most powerful artist for me! In 2012 I got sober. Searched for more positive music. Had a Lecrae song come on pandora. Good song. Then Andy came on this was middle of 2012. Been connected to him for years. The day I went to see him in 2016 or 2017 I was scared about a hospital procedure. Between songs they did talks about God. It put me at ease. It’s been sometime that I have listened to him feeling disconnected started listening to his podcast again it’s hitting home.

Andy, when I hear your music I can feel your pain. I can understand and relate to the struggles you faced. I have the same age as you, I have felt as the years have gone by, there has been so many changes. I kept telling myself what happen to this world we living in. I missed so many people I used to talk to but they all seemed to drift away. Even worst, I suffer from depression, bipolar and anxiety all together in one package. Its the worst feeling in the world. I have isolated myself so many times. I get so afraid someone is going to poke fun of me. It is obvious what I have. But like Paul said in the bible. I told God to take it away but instead God says in my weakness that is where He is the strongest. When I realize that life is a gift and maybe I dont get to taste the freedom that I would like to have of being healthy, or I don't have the friends I would love to have kept. God somehow makes me realize there is far more things in life for me to explore. I do get therapy but I make sure I can connect with my therapy real well and that the outcome gets better for me. I love you very much Andy. We can pray for each other. I like to sing and play guitar. I have to continue doing so lol. Take care hope to see you in concert again near DC and give you a hand shake ☺
