Nice to hear an early version of GENIUS! This is so good. I love this as well as the Todd produced Skylarking version, they're both so good. I just don't hear anyone else with this level of musical exploration in a single track these days. So inspired.

Apparently this was recorded in the middle of a Swindon winter, according to the liner notes. It still has a hot summer vibe, though at a quicker tempo than the final album cut.

One of the really fun things about the Fuzzy Warbles music (for me) is hearing the early versions of lyrics. This us a good example, and BALLET FOR A RAINY DAY has some lyrical differences I found interesting too. Love this version!!
