My first concert was Wishbone Ash too...Joe Walsh opened...New Orleans in the mid 70s. Quality material always survives!

If you aren't familiar with with Wishbone Ash, the 1st 4 CD's are a must, 1970's Wishbone Ash, Pilgrimage(71),Argus(72),Wishbone 4.(73) with all original band members. Laurie Weisfield replaces Ted Turner on 2nd lead guitar on the 5th LP/CD,'74's There's the Rub. I saw them live in San Diego at this time. Also saw them in '71 0r '72 at then San Diego Stadium (with ELO) after a Padre baseball game. great show!

Wishbone Ash was the Brit version of Skynyrd and the Allmans, only ones who came close, great, tight band.

Except there Brits not from the swamp. Mark Knopfler closest to genuine Alabama skiffle.

Say that show too, Dr Hook, Mason Profit were there too, WBA was the STAR though! Remember the berserkers throwing handfuls of blunts out in the crowd near the front (stage right)?

Spot on. A group of us had a beer with them in the late 80s when they were on tour with at Nouveau Calls time. Ted was great but Andy was a little aloof.

I love these two guys. And clearly, they complement each other. But although I believe they were at the same level as guitarists, Ted is a little more genial than Andy.

Interesting that you have thatb said about Ted/Andy.I like your answer! You are very sensitive. To me Ted is the more inward and technical player. But I also feel that Andy is very technical and also soulful when playing. I hope you will answer this.

@rotagen5 No, Wishbone Ash blew those fantastic bands out of the water. In my humble opinion.
