The 1947 The Vigilante Serial Universe should be part of the New Multiverse and that universe should be Earth-8.

Buster looked great in this and Gloria Dea was very sexy. Reminds me of Acquanetta in "Tarzan and the Leopard Woman".

You know? The Blackhawks can crossover with Spy Smasher as if they are both the world's first heroes with symbols on their chests. I love to see James Gunn give us that in his DCU.

I played this single as a small town radio music director. Great tune but I think Alternative/Post-grunge had kind of taken over the sound of the time, so it didn’t have much of a chance. But I do recall getting requests for it despite not many spins.

Ardy Sarraf of The Fab Four is better. At least he plays left handed guitar and bass and Tony Kishman doesn’t. And that’s just ONE reason he’s better!!!

It would've been marvelous if there had been a 2nd Captain Marvel Movie Serial. There have been 2 Superman Movie Serials and 2 Batman Movie Serials.
@wesleycook7687

Whiz Comics would have made a second serial, but DC Comics sued because they said it was too close to Superman..The comic books continued to publish the Captain Marvel on through the 50s, but could not let the character be used on film..It's a shame. The effects in this serial were much better than the Superman serials or the TV show. The flying sequences were way ahead of their time. Not until Superman The Movie came out was the flying sequences comparable..

I saw him in 1987, at a little club in Delaware by the beach.. He started the concert with this song and did it much better and heavier than this.. all guitar, no sax.I did not know the name of it, only heard it that one time, ever.. .I have asked tons of long time musicians about this song, NO ONE knew of its existence never heard of it..I just found it today Jan. 2020!

I can remember watching this serial onTV in the early 50s. It was amusing because at that time NYC had a rule which banned the sound of sirens from being broadcast, so nearly half the sound track was cut.

Andy and Ted both exceptional guitarists who compliment each other and clearly enjoy playing together (witness embrace at the end). Sad to think that the relationship went sour when the rights to the Wishbone name was contested in Court. Seems apparent that Ted and Steve Upton sided with Martin Turner against Andy.
