i loved Whitney when i was young, thanks God that I lived when she lived; little "but" when putting comment to that performnce; Whitney was American, and then slavic 20' something girl come into stage and sung that my mninds blown away just same feeling that i heard my Whitney songs, oh Poland you've made my day when I heard that; definitely best eurovision vocal ever!!!!!! who think different show me better!

I have to agree with you : I had great customer service in Poland (in Krakow). And Polish are so good at languages! Edyta and her song: Amazing! One of the best in Eurovision...! Agreed, should have won! Still the best Polish entry in Eurovision. The thing is she broke the rules and sang it in English during the dress rehearsal which caused a scandal, but only six countries demanded Poland to be disqualified (13 was needed for that to happen). I think this explains why Poland didn't win as some juries punished her by giving less or no points. It's been speculated that Edyta did this in order to prevent a Polish victory because Poland at the time probably would have struggled to afford hosting the contest. I haven't seen any evidence of this, though.

As she said, she got cold in windy Dublin. Apparently singing in Polish can tire the voice more than singing in English even without Polish rustling sounds. Becauce of that reason her team discussed with her that she should sing at rehearsal in English

Funny, since nowadays hardly anyone even put a few words in national language, considering it as disadvantage. And srsly, dress rehearsal? Sounds like a joke, but then it's contest / competition, so yeah... I've actually heard that part about Poland not being ready to host (or other countries / organisators thinking so), and that being a key factor. It's even sadder that it's probably true.

I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but lyrics to this song were written deliberately so it wouldn’t have too many consonants, so it wouldn’t sound too hard to listen to, since polish is a hard language on its own. Also, UK gave us 12 points in the voting so thank you 🙏

Edyta had a throat infection during the contest so she hardly can speak. On second rehearsal she sang English version just to sing and not got her throat worse. This was forbidden so she could go cancelled. After final she couldn't speak. She was only able to sing this once time

it was said once in some interviews Poland wasnt ready to host, kinda still fresh after communism falls, yet i guess thats the golden eurovision years when still politics didnt make a difference in voting that much so we had a chance :( Last time we could had a start was when Margaret went with Cool me down BUT she blew it up on nationals .... :D

She didn't win then in 94 because during rehearsals she sang the fragment of this song in English which was forbidden at that time, according to the contest rules. She was almost dusqualified and send off.

listening to To Nie Ja! for me best ever song and then compering Edyta Górniak to now live performances. She is not as great as then. Like fresh song "Król", which she failed on stage
