I went to high school with Veech at Mount Carmel in PA. I wasn't friends with him but it's a small school so we'd always say hello in passing. Early in the season, all players are getting the rust out, perfect time to get Rice and Worthy with some experience and score some tds to build confidence. Yeah, I mean the refs cause all the other teams to make poor decisions and go for it on 4th down. They cause the solid kickers like Tucker to miss field goals. They cause other team's receivers to not get both feet down inbounds. They never make a bad call against the Chiefs like phantom DPI on McDuffie, or a no call when Pat is blatantly hit late out of bounds. Every single thing the refs do is so obviously benefitting the Chiefs. It's not like the Chiefs are in the top of the league with offensive penalties called against them.
