@RobertPaceII4 жыл бұрын
@@castlerogers7217 Certainly. Lonely Island began getting a lot of buzz on the digital shorts segment of SNL. The first bit they that really took them to the next level was the "I'm on a boat" music video featuring T-Pain. That hit on the show big time when they featured it and it was big virally also. That was huge for Samberg because it was hard for him to stick with the cast he was working with because there was a lot of comedic talent on the cast during those years and Samberg was kind of a 3rd whirl up to that point in the scope of the cast those years. Up to when the Lonely Island Samberg's most noteworthy sketch of note was the "Lazy Sunday" video he produced with Chris Parnell. Lazy Sunday was actually the first Lonely Island production featured on SNL and that was originally done in 2006 as one of the first digital short bits on SNL and actually premiered right around the time Samberg did this interview with Conan. "Lazy Sunday" was a viral hit but for some reason they didn't follow up right away after Lazy Sunday. Samberg's legacy on SNL is through Lonely Island.
