I feel that song has much more personal origins than a stroll... We will never know from Mr Perfect, "forever playing to the gallery". Mr Sumner once said inspiration sprung from a Poster on the wall - of Cyrano. Perhaps both sources blended. It's a cracking piece.

45 years. Very sad Sting hasn’t reformed with Andy and Stewart this year to mark such a landmark occasion which is also the 40th anniversary of Synchronicity

With Andy’s harmonics and Stewart’s almost unprecedented rhythms the songs Sting wrote were taken to a different place. Always wish The Police had released Omega Man as a single and whatever happened to Light Changes/ Bewitched not on Around the World cd? Travesties indeed. Sent Andy a puncture repair kit for Sally once, though I don’t think he received it!

It's a good thing you replaced Sting's bossa nova version with something more masculine. After all you were The Police, not The Village People.

You need writing credits for all of “The Police” songs- Sting didn’t come up with those guitar licks
