Okay, it’s official now: *I LOVE YOU, ANDY!!!* 🧡 I always get a little nervous when a guitarist, no matter how good he is, ‘covers’ Beck’s version of this song. An in my opinion misplaced display of the player’s abilities to show off his or her techniques usually only takes away the emotion that Jeff Beck put into it. Jeff Beck was the only guitarist who could make me cry, just by playing. No words needed. No other guitarist ever managed to do that to me. Until now. Thank you so much, Andy! 🧡🧡🧡

I'm a fan, have enjoyed Andy for years, have seen him live more times than I can remember going all the way back to his sit-in with the G3 tour at the Bronco Bowl back in '97. I'm also a resident of McKinney, TX and live 5 minutes from The Sanctuary and was fortunate to have my wife pay for a lesson with Andy as a gift. If you haven't seen it - check out Andy's video from many years ago where he performs "Cry For You" and talks about his emotional experience of seeing Jeff Beck for the first time. This is just outstanding brother. World class creativity on your instrument of choice and just an incredibly beautiful interpretation of this classic. Jeff would be so inspired by this, imo. Like a feedback loop of greatness. Hate to gush... but I just love this.

@@jamesdeboer-k7d I had just moved to TX and had become friends with a guitarist who worked at a Baldwin piano store in Denton, TX. They had just started selling guitars as well. One day, I went in and two other guys were there as well. One of them was Andy and he blew my mind even back then. He was incredibly humble and nice! He said that he was going to be playing at a now long closed little bar in Denton that night and I should come to the show. I did and was even more amazed. I went to see him everywhere he was playing in the area and have followed him ever since. In all the times I’ve seen him, he has never failed to impress and amaze me, not just as a player, but as a person!
