Andy Warhol toured South Beach and the Amsterdam Palace in 1980, while in Miami for his exhibition "Jews of the 20th Century" at Lowe Art Museum. The Amsterdam Palace was later renovated by Gianni Versace, and is now operated as The Villa by Barton G.

I love how Andy was just like “uh, no. You’re wrong.” to every statement that reporter made.

Andy was so good at deflecting self important energy. Interviewers just didn’t ever know what to ask or how to ask it. I love what he says about recycling. He lived to see his work collected but never be self-important except as remembering the subject. Andy made the attention go to others, but that’s what made him endearing. Like a musician who backs up a vocalist without ever getting in the way or drawing attention to themselves.

I’ve heard Lou Reed speak about Andy , Lou said Andy had a constant stream of ideas and was always working - always creating . Lou also said Andy was very supportive of other artists . It appears Andy had autism - very high functioning on the spectrum. Which would perhaps explain a lot . Anyway , Warhol’s artistic legacy lives on ❤️

Andy W. had a peculiar way of talking, but I don't think it has to do with autism, because he played the social game with great skills. I don't see autistic people be as sociable as he was.

Actually I'm glad he didn't. His work is more authentic and real; today's computer graphics lack originality, creativity. Warhol actually created original work; today's commercial and fine artists are merely 'copy and paste' digital reproductions.

In a wider cultural sense I wonder what he would've made of the musical devices in the 90s, rock/grunge, rap etc, perhaps would have been drawn to Kurt Cobain in a mentor manner

The interviewer seems a bit clueless, but many of the people who interviewed Andy over the years were like that. In a way the dynamic we see here actually helped Andy. His schtick required a straight man.

Wow my first time seeing Warhol in motion and hearing him speak. I was expecting a very cool, snooty aloof character. He seems cool but normal in a down to earth kinda way. Not aristocratic. I only know him from his pop art not much about his personal life. I wasn’t expecting his American accent. I was expecting a Grace Jones international type of accent lol

Cherub, a winged angelic being described in biblical tradition as attending on God. It is represented in ancient Middle Eastern art as a lion or bull with eagles' wings and a human face, and regarded in traditional Christian angelology as an angel of the second highest order of the ninefold celestial hierarchy.
