Have you considered using a halfbreed champion instead of basusu? Would save you a pile of points and still gives you a speedy individual for similar shenanigans.

I have run them in the past. If I persist with the big flyer, then I might compromise and switch out Susan. This would give me points to invest in healing, perhaps.
