@@TheMirolab So I've heard. What's the source of the hate? It's not well publicized like Waters and Gilmour. Me, I was in high school when Famous Last Words came out. I found it to be a big Drop off from Breakfast and teh superlative Paris. (The latter remains one of my favorite live records ever).

I had heard Roger tried to push his religious beliefs too much and it made the band resentful. The fact he had most of the hits probably didn't help because their deep cuts are great, too.

The lines that, now, most deeply hit me in this song are ones I didn't really notice for years: "See the man with the lonely eyes/Take his hand, you'll be surprised." This is more than just the romantic love song, or even the feel-good anthem, that I once thought it was. This song is *challenging* all of us to genuinely take the time to reach out to people when it might not be easy or comfortable. I need that challenge!

I am 53 years old. the first album I bought was Crime of the Century when I was eleven. Then Breakfast in america, Even in the Quietest Moments, and all the others. Since then I have been a fan of rock, hard rock, new wave, jazz, funk, classical, French songs, and many other things. Tastes pass but my love for supertramp never faded. And despite all these years, I still discover new details with each listen. Supertramp is part of my worldview. I would certainly not be the same if I had not known this music.

This song has memories attached to it. The first is, I'm taken back to my teen years at an arcade, surrounded by others like me just to hang out and find fun, that song playing out through the speakers, another, listening to this song and thinking of how much a friend of mine who had just passed away, loved it. This song also has a strong sentiment to it, because my late husband, back when we were teens, wrote a letter to me and he used the part of the song that says "see the man with the lonely eyes, take his hand, you'll be surprised" as a part of it. It almost brought me to tears, we weren't really a thing back then, but, he was always there when I needed him. Well, thank you for this video, it was great!

Interestingly this track was slightly edited into a shorter version as a single release likely for radio airplay.the intro was shortened as was the bridge section.

It's awesome to see you doing more Supertramp! You definitely must hit "Even in the Quietest Moments", the title track form this album! A nice cut.

IT'S ABOUT F#$@ING TIME!!!! LOL Liked it before hitting Play. "It's like your parents just came home from a trip.... ", what really happened, cut out before Dad realized his speakers are all blown out from playing this full volume.... Great reaction guys!

I'm usually closer to Andy on the ratings, but have to agree with Alex on this one. This is an S-Tier song. Also, most times when I really like a song and a cover of it is released, I tend not to like it. That's not the case with the Goo Goo Dolls cover. Actually very good.

This song is something else, it touches something in the soul. Pure love, pure joy, pure gem.

This is a great album you did a bit of Lover boy on one of your livestreams but not all the song one of their most underrated songs. Fools Overture is also one of their best songs.

To me the lyrics and the story are the most important part of the song. Suprertramp slips in short unexpected lyrics that just grab people with meaning. When this came out I had real issues with loneliness. The line in this song that just grabbed me was, "See the man with the lonely eyes. Take his hand and you'll be surprised." For me that is one of the most iconic lines ever.

S-tier song for me too; the hook and the smooth joy of the song have picked me up when not much else could have. Supertramp could really lay down a catchy track. Thanks for finally hitting this!

Supertramp could arrange a song amazingly. As a Supertramp fan, I always think that Breakfast in America album as their masterpiece and their Stairway to Heaven. Just Another Nervous Wreck should be considered as their next drop.

Yes! Supertramp is always an S tier. Can’t go wrong with them at all. Keep the songs coming… you’ll never be disappointed. 👏👏👌👌❤️❤️ I saw them in concert at Alpine Valley Wisconsin years ago doing the Crime of the Century album. Best concert I’ve ever been to. ❤️

A brilliant song, and it sounds so easily done, despite how complex it is. You should hit some of the songs on "Crisis? What Crisis?" - "Lady" would be a good one to react to.

Recorded at the storied and legendary Caribou Ranch studios in the mountains of Colorado (see album cover!) Check out who else recorded there: Elton John, Fleetwood Mac and on and on. Sadly it burned down in the 1980s. S-tier track for sure!

Dougie Thompson is SUCH an overlooked bassist - his choice of note, rhythm, etc. Nothing is ever over-played. I was so glad you noticed him there
