Liverpool at the Euros (Part 1)

I am looking at each Liverpool player representing at the Euros, and scoring each based on arbitrary rankings!
This episode features Robbo, Szobo, VVD, Gakpo, Trent and we even stop by South America to check in on Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.
I also talk about Ronald Koeman's bizarre antics from the bench!

I’m a couple of weeks behind here but I have a suggestion. What about a top 5 or 10 biggest let down transfers. Plenty to chose from with the likes of Kewell, Joe Cole, Morientes.

BIG GAK! I'm (sadly) rooting for England but so glad to see him flying, we need him confident for the start of the Slot era because when he's feeling confident I think he's a fantastic player. Got to say if I didn't have a horse in this race I would 100% be rooting for the Dutch, I think they've got a fantastic national team. Also think you're spot on with Trent. If we had runners he would be starting every game for England, but sadly we haven't been able to make the most of his world-class passing yet. Us Liverpool fans know just how brilliant he is and it's a shame he isn't being allowed to fully shine yet in the national team. He was impressive in our recent friendlies so hopefully we'll see plenty more of him in this tournament. Up the fkn reds, and a happy tournament to all. Let's hope we get everyone back fresh and fit for the next chapter.

On the Liverpool left side problem. It's not really a problem. Gakpo and Diaz for the left side, Jota and Nunez for the middle. But all four can play left and central, which means they can interchange between left and centre during the games. It could also be a "horses for courses" situation from game to game.

Trent's an easy scapegoat for people who don't pay attention to the game, cos he's 'out of position'. A deep narrow left winger, a right footed left back and a static striker isn't what Trent is hoping to see when he receives the ball and gets his head up. Saka was the only player giving him anything to work with.

I'm going to go out on a limb and blame the system that Southgate has cobbled together. If you can't get a tune out of the Trents and Fodens of this world, then maybe you should hand them over to someone who knows what they are doing. Shades of Gerrard-era England. Also: Bellingham is most definitely the real deal.
