What a marvelous, dreamy tune at the beginning! I fell in love with it instantly. It brings up easily many images. It’s like Neil Young’s „Midnight on the bay”.

This reminds me a little of the Strymon Deco; lots of range in very few controls, seems like a chameleon which I really love, but very much an instrument which needs tweaking as you go instead of something that has predetermined sounds at the push of a button. I could see this being really useful for subtle textures in a mix to give things some depth and movement. Great demo!
@smokeynewport15915 ай бұрын
BTW, I just watched a tube screamer TS9DX demo earlier today that you did 16 years ago!! The video quality from back then was almost unwatchable but the playing was on point! Thanks for all the years of awesome demos. I've watched tons of them.

I really appreciate it and glad the old vids are still helpful!

If you think that’s unwatchable, you’d have never survived tiny tv’s with rabbit ears, trying your get a clear picture, or even a VHS tape that’s been rented over and over, for 20 years. Those old demos look fine. People are so spoiled now.

Great revue! Not an easy job I can imagine... I guess this will also be a great studio tool for (analog)synths and drums! (And of course on the auto-tuned vocals of the full top 100 single and album charts, 😂.) Loved your opening tune. It made me think of 70’s european crime shows, like Derrick. 🖖

Andy, I’ve been watching your demos for decades I think. What are some of your favorite pedals you’ve demoed over the years?
@AndyDemos5 ай бұрын
Hey I really appreciate hearing from a long-timer! If I had to pick 3 it would be the Catalinbread Belle Epoch where I got to use a violin bow, the couple videos I did for the Wampler Velvet fuzz (it really covered some ground) and more recently the Funky-Vibe from Sabbadius. Just a fan of classic reborn, I guess :)

@@AndyDemos I do have one more question. I am looking into the best sounding lush tremolo, with dynamic setting. But I also want it to do the classic stuff. I’ve narrowed it down to the Keely dynatrem and the harmonious monk v2. Any thoughts? I can get the Keely for cheap but is it because it’s not as good?
@AndyDemos5 ай бұрын
@@boonatuna Some of those dynamic trems are digital like the MXR Tremolo and Keeley is using a FV-1 chip I believe. That being said, they offer more control and the analog Harmonious Monk has no dynamic setting but tap is perhaps more helpful. I wouldn't say any of these choices are bad, it's more important to find one that matches your needs. I'd also recommend the Subdecay Vagabond which has similar features you're after (and that company deserves more recognition). Good luck!

It sounds like they took the modulation features of a more advanced Delay pedal, and worked out possibilities with the circuit. It's not for me, but it is very interesting.

Love the benson preamp, was meh on the delay. This? Good for recording but I wouldn’t rate it live. But as a part of the benson lineup it makes a lot of sense. Also love the pink. Might grab one on reverb after somebody gets caught up and never figures out how to use it.

Love the sound. Love the design and the demo. But personally I feel like lofi pedals came late to the game. A few years ago I experimented with mods to my guitar and playing techniques that do what most of these pedals do. But I still want to buy them…

I don’t really consider this a lo-fi pedal, which is why I omitted that term from the demo (I know others have called it that). Reminds me more of a dynaflanger!

I'm not surprised that some people won't get this pedal, it's on the experimental side. However, this just seems like needless hate on a Co. and calling a classic Tonebender circuit with a solution for drifting bias a "joke" has me scratching my head :/
