2011 is a weird draft to evaluate. There is so many great players from this draft, but with all the injuries you can't help but feel like we only got this draft at 70-75% of it's ability (Even Kawhi you feel like would be an unquestioned top 15 player if he played at least half of his games over the last 6 years).
@JadenJPDB4 ай бұрын
To me, there is many draft picks that turned to be good apart from kyrie, kawhi, Vooch and JV. Kenneth Faried was an energetic rebounder who is also althetic very good at defence and rebounding the main issues why he was out of the nba was he couldn't shoot and be more consistent if he had developped his shot earlier he would be in the NBA today. Enes Freedom, a talented big man was a double double machine, his defense and his lack of atheltism were his biggest weaknesses which couldn't help him to stay in the nba much longer. Kemba Walker was a incredibly star for the hornets because of his leadership and his popularity, he would have taken a paycut, becoming lamelo's mentor and etc., the celtics and the knicks killed his career and he is now out of the league playing in Monaco. Tobias Harris wasn't a bad player. It's just that his lack of consistency and not showing enough defense was the reason why the sixers refused to pick up his contract for next season. This draft was still a famous one.

From Kyrie, Tristan Thompson, (Which Thompson was a great supporting player to pair with Kyrie. His rebounding, Toughness defensively, and touch down low, are everything that the cavs needed in a center.) Jonas Valanciunas is the definition of a high motor center in regards to rebounding. His play style may be a little slow for a center in regards to his post up game but his rebounding sets him apart. And Klay being the 11th pick to the warriors was the perfect back court player to pair with Steph. After that they drafted Draymond and the dynasty began. Unfortunately now with Klay potentially leaving Golden State, the dynasty might be over.

He was 5’ whatever no gm is “gonna back the brinks truck up” for him. First of all. 2nd. They done have their future stars. Both brown and Tatum drafted top 4 picks in respective drafts. And by the time he was traded it was already written on the wall them two gonna be good.

It's a draft that almost everyone knows the top 15 picks (except for Jan Vesely) That's super solid Apart from those mentioned, Motiejunas/Faried/Mirotic/Norris Cole/Cory Joseph/Bojan/Parson were all soooooooolid during that period too Parson did fleeced the contract but right up to that payday he did balled the f out, great offensive player with size. Injuries played a part in him being "overpaid" MarShon Brooks & Jordan Hamilton had their tiny moments too Reggie Jackson plays like a top 10 PG whenever he plays the Lakers too. Let's not forget Josh Selby, during summer league everyone thought he'd be the biggest steal of the draft. All in all a SOLID SOLID draft. 09' (Curry/Jrue) draft is top heavy (15 total chips) 11' (Kawhi/Klay/Butler) draft is the most balanced (14 total chips) Both hella solid, 09' just "seem" lesser impressive now because of all the underachievers like Thabeet/Tyreke/Flynn/BJ Mannnnn Curry is generational which gave 09' the edge for me as the best draft class since 03'
