great video Andy, question- is there a way to control notification settings at an admin level? for some reason all the teams I created are defaulting to "custom- off" notifications.

Hi Branden many thanks. Hmm couple of things to try. Go to the Teams Admin settings and look for the Notifications and feeds and ensure they are enabled. Also at the team level go to settings and click the @mentions options and look at the options there. You can also go into Teams Admin - Select a Team - Click Channels Tab - Edit on Top Right and look for the mentions option here. Beyond that, You may not have the right permissions depending on your Admin Role. I hope this helps. A team can be private or public. What is the use of creating a private channel in a private team?

Good Q. Imagine a company directors team. Within the team you could have a private Chanel for senior directors. In which this group of users can collaborate and work in private. :-)

Short answer is no. The channel is actually an encrypted SharePoint website. For security reasons this can not be done at present. "YET!!!!"
