I love how the game looks visually. Like what it promises and interested to see Ubisoft's version of the Star Wars world, as regardless of how folks feel about them, they are INCREDIBLE at creating interesting, layered and aesthetically pleasing worlds. I don't really care about the quirky main character types, so I'm probably not going to care too much about the story or writing, as most games have horrible writing nowadays, but the locations are what interest me. I am miffed about the pricing and the locked off content with all the pre-order editions, but with games that are this greedy with pre-order pricing, I always wait for a sale. If I play it a year or so later, it'll be cheaper, and have more content. No need to play it early. Thanks for the detailed breakdowns btw! Keeps us informed and scratches the itch of interest.

I've wanted this open world game since playing star wars the phantom menace on PS1 I think I remember exploring the tiny little maps they had back then I was amazed 😂 Nowadays it's crazy we used to think them games were top notch compared to what they are now it's massive and everyone complains I don't understand be thankful I grew up with a sega and the game boy non colour 😂

Not sure what they mean about Valhalla being unfinishable. I had no trouble finishing the story and loved that I got 200+ hours out of it. Makes it actually worth the money. For $130 they better hope people can stretch it out past 50 hours

The reasons I know as to why people are not looking forward/optimistically to this game: community manager for their X account has been found saying some fairly racist things (toward white/cis gender people), day one DLC meaning they built the jabba mission as they were making the game and cutting it from final build to upsell the bundles, price of said bundles, found that they have a good face model for vess and that they changed her face a lot for the final product (resulting in a uncanny valley vibe sometimes in the shown cut scenes), SBI's involvement, it being produced by Ubisoft and people being tired of them not delivering on their games/making incomplete games/micro transactions, and, at least for me, the scenes that were supposed to be humorous just fell flat and felt like something from a kids show/movie.

here's my thoughts I'm buying the ultimate edition and if anyone wants to come at me and say something like season pass don't belong in a single player game when a game like helldivers2 requires you to at least buy the basic 80 dollar ps plus subscription just to play the solo mode and people say nothing about it. I will pay 130 all day long for any game that doesn't require ps plus I haven't had ps plus since they raised the 59.99 price and I will never play multi-player ever.

@soldierbreed in settings solo is set to friends you have to put it on private and not invite anyone that's how you play solo it don't have an offline mode it forces you to buy ps plus which I will never do again I don't play online or with friends I play alone and unfortunately I can see why they only charged 40 bucks for the game because they knew you would have to at least spend 80 more to play it but since everybody loves the game they let the makers by with it I threw my game in the trash best 40 bucks I've spent. I just feel if people is going to call companies out they need to call helldivers2 out also or shut the hell up.

Ill just wait 6 months to a year. This game is going to be glitchy af at launch (i can feel it, not cuz if devs incompetence in making games, but from the work culture at ubisoft with really just pandering to sales and investors, as well as this being their biggest and attempt in actual different mechanics wise oppose to their usual titles). From flying, to wanted system, and driving ur bike. Not to even mention the combat system in calling ur companion out to do w.e u tell it to do. Not to mention itll be cheaper as well as give a glimpse in if its even worth playing. I hope so, looks like the closest thing from the canceled star wars bounty hunter game we are going to get.

For the cost it should be a 50 hour minimum, not to mention the 'Bonuses' hidden behind a paywall. And why does the main character look so weird? I've seen clips of the motion capture of the actress playing the title role, and you would think the technology as it is, especially for a studio as large as Ubisoft, would be accurate in how they portray the Woman doing the work rather than insulting her. Think Cal Kestis in the Jedi series. I'd say photo accurate wouldn't you? Hmmmm. Community managers have a responsibility that doesn't involve pushing political narratives, and so many games have gone by way of Disney in that regard. There's enough nonsense regarding DEI in Hollywood, and for it to infect gaming as well is highly disappointing. A medium meant for fun and escape from all the garbage people are being subjected to in their day to day lives has no place here. I was so exited and hopeful about another decent game set within the classic Star Wars universe, as we all know Disney is all but destroying the films and spinoffs via mind virus agendas, however, the more information that becomes available is showing not only that, but also ridiculously insulting price gouging for an 'open world game' that players will possibly be finishing over the course of a weekend.
