Su-Meta has the remarkable ability to convey human emotion directly as she sings. So, even if you don’t know the words, you know the feeling. Yuimetal and Moametal do a similar thing, but with dance. I feel that this ability is one of the reasons that BabyMetal became a worldwide phenomenon.

This is the song that made me a BABYMETAL fanatic. No going back now. I’ve come to like a lot of their other songs but there’s still nothing quite like this in their catalog, although The One is close. I can’t understand why such an incredible production would be considered outside of the main canon. This song could’ve broken them into the mainstream worldwide but instead it was buried. I just don’t get it.

From googling photos of venues, this looks like the first live performance of FDTD at Hollywood Palladium 6/16/2016 (Su 18, Moa 16, Yui 16). Same stage construction and there are balconies that overlook the stage from the sides from where this could have been shot.

Awesome side stage view, man. I spend a lot of time in that position when I function as an M1 vs A1. Would you happen to know what BM’s production team uses or prefers to use for mixing consoles? I am curious as to what gear they request on their contract riders while touring. Anyway, thanks again. Sure hope BM is using this downtime to write and record some new music to wow the fans with upon their eventual re-emergence.

Thanks, Andy! I was thinking on many of their US tour they probably had a list of acceptable gear on their contract technical rider and just made do with whatever the venues provided to meet their contract rider requirements. I have been surprised several times by arriving to set up a show only to find the promoter/venue had completely ignored the tech rider which made for a challenging day for sure… anyway, thanks for the response and if you happen across one of their technical spec requirements I would love to see it!
