2021 Beasts of the Mesozoic Ceratopsion Series Pachyrhinosaurus Review!!!

Nice looking Pachyrhinosaurus Lakustai figure from the Beasts of the Mesozoic Ceratopsian Series. This has got to be the best Pachyrhinosaurus model since the one from Walking with Dinosaurs Movie version of Pachyrhinosaurus. Great review and keep it up Andy.

Everyone kept saying how big it is, and o was like ‘yeah cool, it’s a larger figure’......mine arrived today, and I still cannot stop being overwhelmed by how LARGE it is! This figure has really made me realise the vast possibilities of what’s to come!

Great review as always, Andy! Mine came today and it is perfect. A must buy, IMO. The seam on the back doesn’t look as noticeable in person (at least on my model), so if that’s a deal breaker for anyone, I wouldn’t let that stop you from getting it. Also, I find that the colors always look way more natural (like the teal on this one) in person compared to what the prototypes look like on the shop. The chasmosaurs was a prime example of that - I loved the model, but wasn’t the biggest fan of the colors, until I got the figure as a Christmas gift and it has since became probably my favorite out of wave 1 as the colors really suit the figure and actually look realistic. It’s made me more open minded to check out the couple other ones that I’m currently not a huge fan of the color choices.

One thing I would like to point out that a lot of reviews seem to miss is that the torso articulation also goes up and down so you can get a nice smooth curve on the spine.

If I get just one of these of this series, this one is going to be it. I must say though, what's the deal with that huge seam on the top of the back? I've seen other videos and on all the pictures, none look like the one you got.

Mine has the seam. It’s sculpted to have different back inserts to change the look of the body. Example the Centrosaurus is the same body mold but has a flatter back insert. The seam is much better hidden on the Centrosaurus.

Great figure but I was kinda disappointed with the paint job. Unlike the prototype this doesnt even have a contrastive wash applied. Dry brushing on the boss is almost nonexistant compared to the proto And there's also something about the eye coloration that gave the prototype a badass look. This one looks more like a toy than I was expecting
