It’s the Allosaurus with paint coloring of the Green Iguana. That Cyberzoic Allosaurus is good, but this Beasts of the Mesozoic Allosaurus is better.

Very nice dinosaur, can’t wait for mine to show up!😁 A couple of things, though…it appears that this one doesn’t have the standing legs that the larger BOTM theropods usually have? And while it was good to see the large stand, it would have been nice to see a demonstration of it in use with something like the BOTM T-Rex?🤔

@andysdinosaurreviews that would be greatly appreciated!😊 …as well-intentioned as the original T-Rex base was, it just takes up too much space, and is awkward to use. I’d be more than happy to replace that base with the new stand if it is noticeably better!😅

After seeing this I hope they re work the T. rex articulation like hips that move more back and forth with no gaps and better neck articulation and hopefully they make it out of a lighter plastic so you can put it in dynamic poses and leave it in a position instead of displaying it in a neutral form, it’s too heavy for no reason

Awesome review! Honestly I just love the fragilis specimen having the more pronounced skull that I'm more familiar with in terms of old school recreations of Allosaurus compared to the jimmadseni specimen from Cyberzoic.

So just out of curiosity since these figures are shipping soon, I was curious about the shade of green that is utilized on this allosaurus. Is it really that rich minty green that was shown in this video or did your camera oversaturate the colors a tad? Because from a distance it looks more yellowish and I think I kind of like that better

Marco Makes designed the logo for me, then I had a metal sign made by a company through Amazon! I can get you a link if you'd like. They're quite cheap shockingly.

Not casting the (nylon?) of the joints in a matching green/brown is a miss in my opinion. That pure white stands out so much. That kind of plastic can't hold paint either so any that covers it up and has friction is just going to come off in use.

Tried dipping the whole figure in heated water? This is what I do to every singe BOTM figure I have. Put the figure in hot (not boiling) water, let it sit for a few minutes, take out, and gently move each joint.

Yup... You would think the guys who design these would have some clue about basic paleo ecology and reptile biology. Luckily, the Cyberzoic version has a much more reasonable paint scheme. This version is gonna be a pass for me.
