@glennegan39773 ай бұрын
@@epicgamer785 both mangrove jack and barramundi breed in saltwater after spending their juvenile years (generally 2-4yrs) in fresh water. Highly likely all those barramundi were males even the larger ones over 70cm. I’d suggest this would be the last year they would spend in the fresh before returning to the saltwater and converting to females. The difference of a couple of centimetres has zero effect on the population when taken from freshwater.
@jayhargreaves78833 ай бұрын
@@glennegan3977 I totally agree with him
@Andysfishing3 ай бұрын
Barra are the least of my concerns, they have a population doubling time of around 4-5 years.. I know my research, and if I was to impose a slot limit it would be a multi one for Barra. What's the sense in potentially taking every fish (netting) just as they come into breeding age (at 75-80cm).

@@Andysfishing Hi Andy, yes, I saw it,... it's just that you used to post a bit more regularly in the past. It's not fair on you that your subscribers expect posts from you as though you actually "owe it to them" in some way, it's just that your videos are soooo good. But it's your life and your business, and we all do very much appreciate your sharing it with us, whenever you can. I hope your lifes' ups and downs have calmed down now and you can live your life as YOU want to. I came very close to removing you from my subscibers list a week or so ago when I was tidying it up... thankfully, I kept the faith that you would come back soon... and you did! Many thanks... and as you can see, from all the appreciative comments, many, many people in this world love your videos too. Good luck and good health, going into the future.
