I've been watching your videos for maybe 2 years now. It's funny to me, I have almost no interest in fishing or seafood, but I have watched hundred or more of hours of your videos. You're just so charismatic and fun. You could change your channel to anything else and I would still watch, cheers from Canada!

Very good video Andy thanks. We have a shallow River here in Central Florida that my father fishes regularly. He has a small piece of log chain about two feet long tied to the back of the boat. That he raises up or down depending on the current to control his drift, it works out pretty good. Thanks again stay safe. 👍🏻👍🏻🎣🐾

Andy have a try at frying fish in a breading mix of Yellow Corn Meal with spices: Salt, pepper, Red Pepper, Garlic, Onion with & serve with a squeeze of Lemon Juice. Corn meal is how I grew up eating fried fish here in Southern US. You may have had this on your US trip.

Hello, Andy! How are you? You probably don't remember me which is understandable but I watch your videos a lot and I also comment on them! I'd like to take this opportunity to say my thanks to you because you're the reason I started fishing using a rod and reel. I've started watching your videos on your Facebook page last year around June or July but then you stopped uploading videos there and then I looked for you here on KZbin and was glad you were still continuing making more videos! This hobby helped my mental health a lot compared to my mental health last year! I find your videos relaxing and enjoyable. Peace and serenity at it's finest! I'm also making fishing contents now without pressure because I'm enjoying what I do and just monetized my channel yesterday. I wish you all the best, Andy! You have my support all the way!

Hey Andy. I remember watching an episode where you used a green paw paw in a salad and asked if anyone had recipies for green paw paw. My Mum makes green paw paw curry Fijian style which is tasty as. Heres a recipie i found you can use as a guide.. have a crack next time you have paw paws on ya tree .INGREDIENTS 2 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon mustard seed 1 teaspoon cumin seed 1 tablespoon chopped garlic 1 large onion chopped 3-3.5 pounds green papaya 2 teaspoons turmeric 2 teaspoons ground coriander 1 teaspoon ground fenugreek 1 teaspoon garam masala 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper or cayenne 1 cup water 1 cup canned coconut cream 1-2 chopped green Thai chillies 1-2 tablespoons chopped cilantro INSTRUCTIONS Peel green papaya and remove seeds. Dice into chunks and set aside. Heat coconut oil in a large skillet and add the mustard and cumin seeds plus the garlic and allow to sizzle and become fragrant. Add the onion and cook until onion browns lightly. Stir in the papaya and spices along with the water. Cover and simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the papaya softens. I've described the raw papaya texture to be like potato- similarly, it should have the texture of cooked potato when it is done. Time might vary depending on the size of chunks. Stir in the coconut cream and heat briefly. Garnish with chopped chillies and fresh cilantro. Serve with steamed rice or flat bread. Enjoy mate

Just curious, but have you baked a whole fish with your favourite herbs and aromatics before in one of your videos? Apart from your lime, garlic, chilli and coconut barramundi foil one, I mean (I think that was the ingredients)? I am originally from the subtropics and we used to do this a lot. Now I am in the south, I bake a pan sized snapper, guts the lot and then use the frame for fish stock or soup (same goes with the large ones but I fillet and crumb and lightly season them in a Moroccan style 😋🤤). Could it be done in that new boat oven?

Andy, are you of the opinion that a lure should be fished with the current? I noticed you said that you use it to position your lure, but you vary a bit with the direction of your retrieve in relation to the tidal run. What are your thoughts?
@Andysfishing
@Andysfishing Жыл бұрын
It depends on where the fish is lying, my main aim is to get the lure in front of the fish

@@Andysfishing is it true that most predatory fish will sit with their head facing into the current to conserve energy and ambush passing baitfish rather than going out and chasing after them in a river system? That being said, would it be most effective to fish up current along the line of a snag? I do see how this could be problematic though, as you won’t be getting deep under cover this way. But, interested to hear your take. Thanks so much for producing your content, the moment I see you’ve posted I’m straight over to the channel!

I prefer lures to get to the fish head on, not from behind.

Andy is there any way we can send you baits to use? I've always wondered how baits I normally use in my area would work over there. Since I can't get to Australia I figure the next best thing is to watch you do it lol thanks in advance buddy and thank you for the content! Also have you tried to cook a fish whole (gutted of course) in a salt crust? I've seen it done l? But have never tried it myself. It looks really good though!

I have cooked fish whole, even with guts in (ok if fresh). But salt crust sound interesting.

Hey Andy, long time and glad to know all is well.. I have one question, do you think the various species of cods inter breed with each other for instance and black spot with and orange spot or do they stick to their own colour code/species?

You should try putting the scraps of the fish you caught in your crab pots because it’s a natural food for the crabs so maybe they’ll like it more then the chicken
