thank you for this quick and nice tutorial. I am using a jurassic version of illustrator, CS6, and when i apply the clipping mask the rectangle loses the rounded corners... any thought about why and how to preserve it? thanks

No idea man, I'm sorry. CS6 is from 2012 and I don't even own a license for the Creative Suite, so I can't download it. I'd highly suggest upgrading to CC tho, you're missing on a lot :)

Uh don't worry about that, I found that the object has stroke and maybe that's the reason because when I set the stroke to 0 all the problem solved. Love your tutorial!

Unfortunately there's no way to reduce the grain size, but you can make the grain layer bigger than it needs to be, rasterize it (Object > Rasterize) and then scale it down. Hope it helps! :)

Ugh, illy is just horrible with this. I sent all designs to Figma and it had the glass effect ready to go as a single layer.
