I mind the last time you camped on that. Been up that thing far too many times to count. The path is just lovely now. You’re right about the midges as well as other wildlife. Even fishing has decreased significantly.

Someone should get Boondocker’s Welcome to get going in UK! It’s great here in the states. Started small with folks offering overnight in their driveway or on their property-usually no services, but some have electric and water for a small fee.

The weather up here on the West Coast of Scotland has been total crap all summer. I think the best weather we had was in May!. We had 3 days in a row of sunshine😂 Burrowhead is a nice place to wildcamp or take the Motorhome. That's where the original Wicker Man was filmed, there's still a concrete plinth with WM / 72 written on it up along the coastal path, but someone stole the wooden legs The Wicker Man was built on lol.

I've had my Hyena in a storm without cover and it stood strong. It's still as good as the day I brought it other than a few puncture hole repairs in the groundsheet from bramble. I do camp in stupid places though 🤣🤪🫡
