I agree with you about the fantasy elements in The Binding. I realised a quarter of the way through that the book wasn’t what I expected. But I did end up liking it which was also surprising because I usually wouldn’t enjoy a book with such little fantasy elements.

The Binding was such false advertising. It was definitely a love story and not a fantasy novel. I was as disappointed as you, and yes, the surprise was very obvious.

I felt exactly the same about The Binding, the story was just so boring! But I love Deal with the Elf King. I completely agree with all your points about it, nothing happened, the magic whilst interesting, wasn’t explored enough and the romance was a little weak......but for so,e reason I just loved it 😂😂

I read the preview chapters for Elf king and loved it, sadly the rest of the book wasn't so good. Sometimes we just like terrible things 😆

I tried By Sea & Sky but DNFed it, I wasn't really all that interested in the story. I may still try his other books though. I've never heard of Shira Glassmen! I thought CC's books were HP fanfic? It's so annoying once you start noticing as you just can't unsee it
