They were excellent but he had the biggest ego in Show Business and that's saying something! lol Used to send Postmen and the like to The Tradesmen Entrance round the back of his house...

Max Wall was supposedly really miserable. No one had a good word for him when he died. Miller was a tightwad and wouldn't buy a drink. He'd stand at the bar until a fan offered to buy him one. He was truly revered by the generation of stand ups that followed him though. Pity there's so little TV archive of him.
