Why say "covered in the blood?" That is such strange, unbiblical verbiage. A twisted idea, I think. Jesus' blood was shed for the remission of our sins, and through faith we receive the forgiveness we so much need. Some reject the need for blood to be shed, and others try to apply the blood for something other than what we have liberty to do.

I studied Andrew Murray years ago. Much honor to his ministry and his spiritual legacy. I’ve learned much about the blood of Jesus at the beginning of my call to ministry. The grace of God upon my life had elevated me to the degree my boldness and authority in the blood radically changed my entire perception of who we are in Christ. There were times I have casted out demons from pleading or declaring the blood of Jesus. I’ve seen the glory of God fall in prayer meetings from simply pleading the blood of Jesus. And now they want the word blood taken out the Bible and there are pastors teaching that pleading the blood is nothing biblical. It is biblical by revelation fueled in our relationship with Jesus. Without the shedding of blood is no remission of sins.

I just met Jesus the Messiah this weekend and I am blown away from this - and by every word in the book! Thank you Jesus for the gospel is SO simple and beautiful. For 40 years I was bound up in a works/ law based fearful life , filled with nasty selfish, painful mean - and everything else that comes with not having TOTALLY surrendered to the glorious Savior!

After many years of being saved I discovered this source and what a blessing. As young Christian I read some of his books in my native language, Afrikaans. I grew up 7km from where he lived in Wellington, in Paarl. I repented in Worcester (1974) not far from there in High School where the memories of the Revival streaming from his preaching and outpouring of the Holy Spirit was still fresh in the memories of South Africa. Now in my retirement year I am revisiting this book and for sure will be listening/studying all the others of Andrew Murray. What a gift from God was and is this man! My sincere thanks to the publishers and sponsors who made this freely available on this platform. Ask yourself if the living God would torture his son to save us all by allowing a gruesome. murder. No, he would not, and he did not. Read Ezekiel chapter 18 in your old Testament and you will see no man can die for another man's sins. Nor even a father could die for his own son's sins. What's the answer to this? We are responsible for our own sins and sincerely repent, or in Hebrew Teshuvah which means turn back to the living true God.

Ezekiel 18 refers to certain wicked Israelite people claiming that they weren’t guilty of sin because their parents were righteous. Or vice versa. Of course, a person died for his own sins. No contesting that. In context, this has nothing to do with a substitutionary death made by one for another. Have you not read Isaiah 53? You will see that it was the Lord’s will to crush His servant, make Him suffer, and have His life be an offering for sin. The idea of a scapegoat symbolically carrying the sins of the people outside the camp was already there more than 1,000 years prior to this. At the death of Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ), it took place in actuality. You are therefore greatly mistaken!

So someone who has very little but its faithful to the Lord in it, might have as much or bigger reward than those who had much and much was required of them, depending on how faithful they were with it. As long as we don't know somebody personally, and even then we probably don't really know their hearts.

the symbolism/types bare that out.... the ark of the covenant, the chest where the mercy seat is placed on, which is in the Holy of Holies was God's throne on earth.
