How long did it take your dahlias to wake up and start getting shoots? I’m about to wake mine up here in Australia.

We wake ours up in early April for propagation. Usually they take a few days to a few weeks depending on the variety. For direct planting, we pull them out first week of May and allow them to wake and then plant after our final Spring frost (around May 24). This helps us siphon out the dead ones. Hope that helps!
