Anern 10.2kW Hybrid Solar Inverter Instal. There Things I don't Like & Don't Understand

I will just be clear from the start lol, I still consider myself in the Novice Catagory for all things electrical, Spanners and Hammers that's me so please be gentle in the comments 🤣.
There is a growing list of things I don't like and don't understand.
The "AC IN" of the inverter has a L, N And Earth/Ground terminal but the "AC OUT" has a L, N and the Earth/Ground is off earth point on the metal case of the inverter. 🤔
When the Daly BMS os off, discharge and charge switches are off I still get a voltage at the output P- of the BMS of aroud 45v tje pack voltage is around 53v. If I turn on the discharge switch the BMS P- Output shows 53v, will currant still flow at 45v with the BMS switches off??? I need some brave pills!!! ⚡💥😢
I now don't like the look of how the AC out cable is so close to the DC PV cables. Do I need to worrie about Induction and Eddie Currents?
Progress is Glacial, life is getting in the way but I will get there.

From what i can gather doing my own research, you peovide your own earthing system. The inverter generates the power (live and neutral) but the earthing is usually in the form of an earth rod so is run into your consumer unit via a separate cable just like in your home electrical system. The earthing screw on the inverter is just to ground the case as its metal. Should hopefully havw enough things to make a start on my system after christmas. Keep the videos flowing

Hi Karl, thanks very much for the reasurance,, The AC Out cable does run off to a comsumer unit of its own that is earthed to the house. But that raises a question of is it ok to have an off grid consumer unit earthed to an on grid house. If this is dodgy I do have a earth rod I can sink in the ground to go full off grid. Earthing/Grounding/Bonding makes me paranoid 🤣 Good luck with your build when you get your bits. I am still trying to save for proper good Busbars, high Amp DC breakers for the batterys and better cables. It's shocking how quickly the parts list and budget goes up 😭 Cheers take care Gaz

@garytaylor1978 me personally, I will be running the inverter AC off grid but the main earth cable will be coming from the main earth in the house. I live in a rented property so I can't do too much modifying. You could still sink an earth rod and have 2 main earths connected to your system as extra redundancy and peace of mind. Andy from Off grid garage used his main earth for his off grid setup. My plan is to get a functioning off grid setup using cheap but safe components and then over time expand and upgrade to better components as I see fit. I'm of the mind set of don't replace something thats not broken lol. Eco worthy are bringing out a hub similar to the Cerbo GX from victron that everything connects to so you can monitor what's happening with your system online and in one place. I may possibly look at thst route in the future, take care 👍

I shall look i to that Eco Worthy you have mentioned a couple of times, I would love to eventually be as Automated as our dear Andy, but Victron is far outside my budget. The novelty of me running around turning things on and off is wearing thin. 🤣 Cheers

@garytaylor1978 indeed one can only dream of having that much solar and battery storage lol. Eco worthy are the budget off grid side of things but people say their stuff works really well and are really happy with it. Obviously it's not victron standards but it's not victron pricing either 🤣 just remember that the bigger the inverter, the bigger the battery you need to keep within a respectable discharge rate (0.5-1C ideally) a 10KW inverter will need 10KWh of storage just to get 1C at full output 👍

@@karloffgrid My big cells are still in boxes 😭. 32x280Ah should make a big enough boom 💥 I can set current limits on the inverter so I can limp along for now. I need to spend big dolla on good busbars and breaker etc.

Poštovani, to uzemljenje koje ste zakačili na inverter nije " pravo uzemljenje" . Zna se kako se radi uzemljenje i ono se dovede na inverter na drugom mestu će te napraviti razvod uzemljenja za kuću. Ovako nemate nikakvo uzemljenje.

Hiya, you will always get a residue of voltage from a MOSFET, it's not a physical switch as in open/close. They will always leak voltage

🤣🤣🤣 Thanks mate! As you say as long as it's safe I should be happy. I had a close call with my last inverter using a 3pin plug as AC in to charge the battery, overloaded it and welded the plug into the socket. On the subject of lazy it is still dangling out the wall 🤣🤣🤣 I kind of want to try and do this one right this time but by ek it give me the fear lol. Cheer bud 😁

Hi, it is quite high 75 to 100 watts. Rough guess, the jk bmses will flick upto an amps draw through each bms and I have 2. Hope that helps
